Clare- Well they probably ‘dumbed it down’ for those whose command of the English language is confined to “‘Paris’ and her amazing coterie of garbage-like antics”. I wouldn’t doubt it. Plus the film as to be edited differently for commercials. Isn’t that the most amazing set of films ever?

The hamster’s name is Chmurka. She’s a syrian hamster. She lost her ears due to a common hamster side-effect to anesthesia when she had surgery.

Sometimes when small animals have surgery, even with the very best vet care, there can be blood pressure problems that result in damaged outer ear tissue. I believe this hammie had a tumor removed and lost her outer ear folds; however, she can still hear and considering the death rate for complicated small mammal surgery, she is a tiny miracle.
