i’m with you missin’the lions…i’ll miss them too. not seeing them as they grow is sad. what a wonderful experience to have seen as much as we did. perhaps that zoo or another will repeat and expand upon this effort.

Oh, so sad! I had an unsettling feeling that the long “technical difficulties” delay was something more than that. Maybe it was a way to try and ween the viewers off seeing the lion cubs? Then when they stopped the streaming, people would have gotten out of the habit of checking in on the cubbies and there wouldn’t be as many complaints.

I still checked in each day hoping to see the mama and cubs. If the streaming was too expensive to do, I think the zoo could have found a way to make it pay. I certainly would be willing to toss in some money to help cover the expenses, plus help support the zoo. PayPal does international payments right? They could have found a way to generate extra donations just by placing a camera when people could watch the animals. Seems like a relatively low impact way of creating revenue, plus a way for people to feel more connected to all kinds of amazing animals.

Odd that the message is in English though. Everything else on the website is in Norwegian. Hmmmm…
