Since my birthstone is sapphire, can I have one of THOSE? Oh, rats (or gerbils, or hammies, or what have you), the rental management nasties have a “no pets” rule around here. Sigh. Another reason to LOVE CO!! Thanks everybody!
This is a either a Russian or Siberian dwarf hamster, but it’s a very cute and young dwarf hamster. Perfect for apt living. They don’t require a huge cage and I’ve actually travelled with my dwarf hammies. Only about 3-4″ long, just perfect for enjoying and so soft.

ashagato: Ah… MY name… Well, “miko” is Japanese for “priestess” and “no” is a possessive, so it means “Fish Eye’s Priestess” Fish Eye is a character from the anime _Sailor Moon_. It’s really just a way of saying I’m a fan of the character. ^_^
FINALLY, someone asked. I’ve always wondered what “fish eye no miko” meant, but was afraid to offend by asking.

She made it here! Her name is actually Pirjo and her colour is Sapphire. 
She’s a Russian Dwarf Hamster, now 4 months old. 
Probably the only thing she won’t hoard are alfalfa pellets. Every hamster I’ve owned never eat those things.
I’m suddenly craving granola….
