Hard to imagine anything more beautiful…

6 Lioness 05.29.08 at 6:53 pm

Look at the little pink toesey poking out between her fingers. So soft & delectable! smooooch =)*

7 debg 05.29.08 at 6:55 pm

So they’re BORN with those needle-sharp claws? Potential for disaster, there!

8 Theo 05.29.08 at 6:55 pm

PAWWWWWWWWWWWWWZ!!!
::: piff :::

9 kar 05.29.08 at 7:05 pm

Why would you eat a Siamese kitteh when they’re not ripe. Do you also eat (unfried) green tomatoes and green bananas?

10 Mary (the first) 05.29.08 at 7:07 pm

I’d bet $2 that is a siameezle kitten. (If you pleezle.) Lovely and yes they are born with the needles on their pawsies. Makes you wonder how mom survives the nursing. And as always, I’m obsessed with the delicate whiskers!!

11 Wendy 05.29.08 at 7:10 pm

Yum!

Yum!

Yum!

Little kitten bitz!

12 riolinda 05.29.08 at 7:11 pm

13 meowandwoof 05.29.08 at 7:11 pm

…Meg, you are tooooo funny. HERE WE GO AGAIN “dinner talk”.

14 DR 05.29.08 at 7:12 pm

If you’ve ever had to introduce a second cat into the home, you’ll find this pretty funny:

15 Pearl Ostroff 05.29.08 at 7:17 pm

That is a Siamese, or other such exotic, cat almost certainly. I would love to cuddle, snorgle or otherwise caress the little babe. But I still don’t understand how people can joke about eating these creatures. I know you peeps don’t meant it literally, but the idea just turns my stomach.

16 starling 05.29.08 at 7:19 pm

Yum.

Pass us the salt.

17 Theresa 05.29.08 at 7:30 pm

Just plain “bread” is not good enough for thees morsel. I suggest a fresh foccaccia or sourdough baguette with a little smear of pesto. ;)

18 Theresa 05.29.08 at 7:33 pm

Pearl Ostroff- I must have grown up thoroughly warped, because as a small tot, I constantly had two grandmothers saying they could “eat me up.”

19 jmuhj 05.29.08 at 7:35 pm

Meezerz meezerz wii lurvez meezerz

20 Lucy 05.29.08 at 7:47 pm

Kitteh is cute but I love that ring!

21 Peg of Tilling 05.29.08 at 7:47 pm

Naum. *poof!* Yum, marshmallow!

22 Brak_Silverbone 05.29.08 at 7:53 pm

It’s not only cute, this photo is art! Such lovely hands, and so carefully cupped around the teeny little kitty…

23 LadyDarya 05.29.08 at 8:01 pm

Okay, I’m usually a lurker and have only posted once but OMG I love. I went and looked at the other pictures and definitly a meezer kitty… Mom is beautiful.

24 cassandra 05.29.08 at 8:03 pm

look at the little earscles! what a cute little walnut head!

25 Jennie Mello 05.29.08 at 8:05 pm

Let us celebrate together the fuzzy eyelids and knobbily head bone of little kits. :D

26 ThreeCatNight 05.29.08 at 8:07 pm

Please don’t say those things! Go veggie, and leave kitteh alone! What a leetle sweetie! And that nosicle!

27 Mel Wenger 05.29.08 at 8:08 pm

As a certified professional food manager, I must object to this.

First of all, that kitten is obviously being served raw. You don’t have certification to serve raw kitten. Your facility is not properly equipped, nor is your staff adequately trained to serve raw kitten. So knock it off.

What’s more, I shouldn’t have to remind you that you must never handle table-ready foods with your bare hands, and that jewelry needs to be removed before working in the kitchen.

Also, that thing is covered in hair.

28 Theo 05.29.08 at 8:20 pm

You cannot KNOW how tempted I now am to redo the photo’s hovertext to say “EAT ME, BITCHES”.

I say this in all good fun.

29 Rosie A. 05.29.08 at 8:26 pm

Oh my God. How beautiful. Just so precious… I’m getting teary eyed… such teeny tiny innocence…

30 Khadija 05.29.08 at 8:28 pm

I just can’t get over the toesies sticking out…

31 Metz 05.29.08 at 8:41 pm

Yes I do believe I shall have this Chatin Blanc here as an apéritif,

(inhales delicate aroma while placing into delicate wine glass)

I shall savor the buttery, honeyed vanilla flavors, with just a hint of spicey kick.

32 Laura 05.29.08 at 8:45 pm

OH! Those are delightful with sweet and sour dipping sauce!!!!

OH those deluccccccccctuble little earsies!

33 browngrl 05.29.08 at 8:52 pm

turn away Pearl Ostroff and Threecatnight – cause those little baby toes and nosicle need to be in my mouf now

34 Cristal 05.29.08 at 8:52 pm

LOVE the ring!

35 Juniper Jupiter 05.29.08 at 9:00 pm

KITLING!!!

:D

MINE!!!

36 Katie Kat 05.29.08 at 9:08 pm

OHDUH! That’s the sound that came outta my mouf when I saw dis tineeeeee Siamese kitteh. Those leeetle tiny ears and miniscule claws are just calling to me to nom nom nom…

Must faint over the overwhelming cuteness of this baby…

*faints*

37 jane 05.29.08 at 9:11 pm

I work at a vet clinic where we routinely have litters of stray kittens that we fix up and adopt out, and I often get cravings for a “kitten melt”. Just a few minutes under the broiler with some aged cheddar? Mmmmmmm.

38 Michelle 05.29.08 at 9:12 pm

Pearl, it’s an expression of endearment. There’s an old James Whitcomb Riley poem “Max and Jim” where a mother thinks her boys are so sweet she’ll “haf to eat ‘em!”

:)

39 woofysma 05.29.08 at 9:12 pm

I’m warped too, then, because I’m always telling my sweet doggie that I’ll have her for dessert b/c she’s made of sugar. Then I ask if I can just please nibble on those silky litte ears.
What a beeootiful leetle keetie-kat – so precious and nibbable (new word).

40 taj 05.29.08 at 9:14 pm

Love the claddagh ring!

41 xenira 05.29.08 at 9:15 pm

I wanna nom nom nom those little pink jelly bean toes that are peeking out through her fingers!!

42 chanpon 05.29.08 at 9:16 pm

Tiny earlets. Mini-paw action. Soft, white fluffitude. Scraggily whiskers on itty nosicle. Yep, kitty morsel recipe is all set.

43 Rosie A. 05.29.08 at 9:19 pm

I threaten to eat my cats constantly…and there have been a few times I have taken a nibble out of them…ended up with a mouth full of loose fur, but it was well worth it! ;)

44 Desdemona 05.29.08 at 9:48 pm

Take a look at the whole photo shoot with the darling mama and her six babies! She has the bluest of eyes and the mostest in maternal instincts!

45 Daphne Moss 05.29.08 at 11:03 pm

Yeah, it’s sorta predictable that whenever we have a lovely tiny thing on the screen, it’s followed by a bunch of “ooh, wanna eat” posts.
I dunna understand it, but I don’t doubt for a second that any CO peeps who harm a silk hair on that prosh little body.
In other words… just LOOK at DAT BAYBEE!

46 Daphne Moss 05.29.08 at 11:04 pm

OOOPS! Sorry…meant to say that I don’t doubt for a second that NO CO peeps would harm a silky hair on dat sweet kitty! … *Note to self: must give up coffee*

47 Mary (the first) 05.29.08 at 11:31 pm

Well (duh) now that I see the rest of the photos, of course it’s a “Siamese” kitten although being a traditionalist, I really don’t consider anything but the short-hair ones “real” Siamese. Those cats in the photos are truly beautiful however. And the babies adorable (natch).

48 tia 05.29.08 at 11:32 pm

i thought it was a bunny at first, but then i thought….what short ears you have!
and then…what long claws you have!
and then…the catsup joke…

49 Loris 05.29.08 at 11:44 pm

Speaking as a self-appointed spokesloris: we do not want to eat the cutelings. We just want to taste them. (Possibly in this case, just as it is with just the very swiftest of glides over the soy sauce, or possibly that’s just me.)

Also, Mel Wenger, the last line of your post made me do the unexpectedly-laughing-while-drinking-coffee-and-blowing-coffee-throug-your-nose thing. So now I’m a self-appointed spokesloris with coffee all down my front. Which is muy attractive.

50 berthaservant 05.29.08 at 11:52 pm

Alien kitten! (That’s what I call them before the eyes are open).

I’ve always felt weird about the “eating” thing, too, but the rest of you go ahead. I’ll be satisfied with years of snorgling.

51 Cara N. 05.30.08 at 12:28 am

Now THAT is art. :)

52 Noelegy 05.30.08 at 12:32 am

She’s wearing a claddagh ring! I have one exactly like that, also in silver.

53 Pearl Ostroff 05.30.08 at 1:08 am

Oh, I know it’s a term of endearment. I know people who say it about little children. I just feel uneasy about it. Just my idiosyncrasy. The rest of you go ahead.

Pearl

54 kayouko 05.30.08 at 1:47 am

I dunno, I’m personally not a big fan of some of these “just born” pics lately. They’re slightly grotesque, lol. But I’m not a hater. :>

55 Totalee Puppy 05.30.08 at 2:38 am

CAT CAFE BEST IDEAS:
JANE! LAURA! METZ!!!
THERESA!! METSAKINS!

56 Rachel Sweeden 05.30.08 at 3:22 am

I agree with you 100% Pearl. The idea these creatures is cruel. The kitten is adorable to.

57 binky-mama 05.30.08 at 4:03 am

I agree berthaservant! I wouldn’t mind being abducted by this leetle alien at all!

(I can haz abduction plz?)

58 Daphne Moss 05.30.08 at 6:02 am

Just looked through the whole bunch of photos of Iris and Tristan (him as a tiny baby?) and they are soo beautiful! Want to nom them…Turned into gorgeous cats.

59 hon glad 05.30.08 at 6:46 am

At that size could be a baby panther otter or bear.

60 Londoner 05.30.08 at 9:27 am

The little head! The tiny feet! The toe beans! The looks my co-workers are giving me as I try and climb into my computer screen!

Ahem.

61 Kris 05.30.08 at 1:07 pm

I’m with you kayouko… newborn animals are not quite cute yet…just like newborn pasickies.

62 Fegli 05.30.08 at 1:37 pm

*siiiiiiiigh* cuddle cuddle cuddle

63 The Other One Michelle 05.30.08 at 1:48 pm

Cute, cute, cute.
But is it really a claddagh ring? I have a claddagh ring with the traditional heart and crown. Just curious…

64 kestrien 05.30.08 at 5:27 pm

michelle – look at the other hand and you’ll see the claddagh ring.

65 SophieMama 06.01.08 at 11:37 pm

I don’t have to eat it, I’m just gonna lick it! Mmmmm, sweetness!!
