    Meg,

It seems like a small thing, but your site makes the day a little better for at alot of people. Thanks.

  2. fuguemonkey says:

    Delete “at”

  3. I agree with fuguemonkey. Very eloquently put. Also, for a split second I thought that kitten was FLOATING. Then I realized he was holding on to a bottle. Regardless, it’s still a great photo.

  4. oh. my. god.

just LOOK at that little belly!

    *dies from cuteness overload*

  5. yellowsneakers says:

    Awww, pretty kitty! Squee!

  6. hon glad says:

    Nommity nom nom.

  7. I want a floating kitty!!!!

And I second (third) the thought about Meg (and Theo!). After the recent tragedy in my life, CO has been a great refuge of joy. Every post and the enthusiasm of the community here is a real lift in my day. Thanks to you ALL.

  8. Poohbear says:

    Splayed toesies! Ehn!

  9. Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilk!

  10. Its not that the kitteh is holding onto the bottle, if you look closely the hand of the ‘bean that is not holding the bottle is infact, holding onto the scruff of the neck of poor hungry kitteh. So is this kitteh desperately holding onto the bottle…is its bean trying to prevent it from falling?

  11. I’m hoping the intent was to be supportive incase of a fall and not to be mean….either way its obvious by the big tummy that the kitteh is loved. :)

  12. Peanutschick says:

    Meg,
Thanks for brightening my days. You are doing a marvelous job. Thanks for all your hard work!
    Peanuts chick

  13. ashagato says:

    omg i love her!!!

and as always, love to meg and theo and my fellow CO addicts :)

  14. I’m piling on with MEGA thanks and love to Meg, Theo and all of you peeps!!! CO is the best part of the day!!

  15. leah b. says:

ok so when the belleh gets full does kitteh plop to ground or what ??

    Preciously cute

  16. Totalee Puppy says:

A wonderful way to start the day! Cutest kitten is doing the “hummingbird at
    nectar-bottle” float…

  17. What a lovely little belly! How sweet.

  18. So unbelievably cute! Maybe she is just being held that way for the picture? I mean, how can you not cuddle a little baby like that?

  19. Nicolletta says:

That kitteh has some long toesies!

  20. Katrina says:

Puddy-tat is being held by the shoulder and front leggie, under the armpit, not the scruff of the neck.

  21. Skyweaver says:

    *BREAKING NEWS*

Scientists have proven that snorgling into the belly of this baby kitteh cures cancer, heart disease, arthritis, the plague, tooth decay, and the blues.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled work day.

  22. momof2kitties says:

Carrot tail! Chicken leg! Must have eet!!!!

  23. Wow. She’s a “milk tick”!

  24. Linda6166 says:

Wow, my pic made it to cute overload!!! My daughter was holding the kitten like that (under front leg and around kitty’s back) for a couple of reasons: 1. Kittens that age claw your hands like crazy while they are trying to hold on the the bottle (I have newfound respect for mama cats). 2. My daughter (who is feeding the kitten) had just been peed on by the previous kitten while feeding him.

  25. ThreeCatNight says:

That kitteh alone is just too beautiful, but I didn’t know she could fly, too. All in the name of milk!

  26. Theresa says:

Giant head, poke-able belleh and carrot tail!

  27. snoopysnake says:

Squeeeeeeearama! Look at those perfectly pointed pawsies!

    Hey, Peanutschick, great name!

  28. meowandwoof says:

Life in my office has been brutal this week; missed ya’ll and CO. Every day IS better with The QTE.

  29. browngrl says:

first: a public servic message: If anyone in Toronto wants to feed kittens volunteer at the Toronto Humane society – I feed Friday am and we are so so short of volunteers it is all feeding and no time for cuddling
second: am deds from the cute

  30. chanpon says:

Wow, I thought these were kitty versions of power chin-ups or something! But regular feeding is good too. Love his little comma tail.

  31. metsakins says:

    Ehhhn!!!
Calico kitten! I MUST HAVE EET!

  32. DannieW says:

Oh my goodness, I knew I wouldn’t be the first to spot that adorable little belly. Lol about the *reasons* kitty is being held away from the body in question.

  33. DannieW says:

  37. Me too me too with the Meg and Theo lurve.

Thanks a lot guys, this site it a real bright spot in days that are sometimes so not.

  38. We love y’all too. ♥♥♥
Emailing Meg to make sure she sees all this. ☺

  39. Torties and calicos all in one day … my brain is fried by the multicolor cuteness. Must go home to recover. Now.

  40. Kitty says: “I don’t give a damn how you hold me just as long as you FEEEED MEEEEEE!!!!”

  41. Juno, I was about to write the same thing!
    Cute kitty.
I’m fairly new to the posting, but I have been looking at CO for a year or so, I guess. Now that I’m a fairly regular poster, I really do enjoy the comments and the photos. Lots of times the comments enhance Meg’s already brilliant titles and mouseovers! And Theo is just excellent at providing great editorial additions. Could it get any better????? :o)

  42. I’ve bottle-fed a number of kittens, and never seen them do that. Quite amazing.I have no children, but I think that bottle-feeding a kitten is just beautiful :)

  43. metsakins says:

Boy what a love fest going on here. I lurves CO too. Lets hold hands and sing kumbaya!

[Speaking as a 13-year veteran of the summer camp scene, A THOUSAND TIMES NO. - Ed.]

  44. Akshullii, AWL catz flowt. Cuz tehy ar ANJULZ.

  45. brinnann says:

    jmuhj, good point!

  46. What am I going to do without my CO fix for the next week while I’m on vacation?
I know, I’ll print out each and every post and bring them along. My husband won’t mind! :-D

  47. CoffeeCup says:

Metz, no computer access on vacation? I couldn’t bear to be disconnected.

  48. Coffeecup, nope not really. barest of minimumz if at all. (SOBS)

  49. brinnann says:

Metz, can you get interwebs on your phone?

  50. nope. :-(

  51. Metz I do this every year when we go camping it is actulaly relaxing except for the part about missing CO and all the peeps and of course cute talk..
Hugs as you go into this vast internetless wasteland

  52. Calico hummingbird!

    what a cutie.

Torties and their calico sisters are all VERY DETERMINED kittehs, which is well and cutely demonstrated here.

    Drink up, little girl!

  53. This is the “ehn” of all “ehns”.
    AAAIIDorable!

  54. Metz – sounds like a great vacation! You’ll just have to immerse yourself in CO when you get back to get caught up!

Add my voice to the choir of thanks to Meg and Theo!!

And last – sweeeeeeeet kitteh!! Want!

  55. Love the kitteh–angel or devil, it’s all the same.

Linda6166, your story had me rolling with laughter. Your poor peed-on daughter!

And everyone else–I share the love. Forgive me if I’ve mentioned this before, but I “detox” my system with CO before and after reading all my political blogs a few times a day. It’s like exfoliating the cynicism from my soul. Meg and Teho, you do great work in the world.

  56. Katrina says:

I have just come from my fourth funeral in six weeks; two young adults, on elderly woman and a stillborn child.

If CO didn’t exist, I’d be in very bad shape right now. But beauty, fun and lighthearted humor do still exist in the world, and I can always find it here. Thank you, all.

  57. Mary (the first) says:

I agree with all the love. Had (relatively minor) surgery couple weeks ago so was home for days.. WITH NO INTERNETS and no qute to perk me up. It was awful. The only best thing about coming back to work was catching up on the c.o. posts. THANK you to Meg, Theo and anyoen else involved. And all the kitnz, pupz, bunz, or whoever that do qte things for us to enjoy. And photo-takers-of-same.

  58. Hmmm, looking at kitteh’s belly brings the word “turgid” to mind. Hee hee hee.

  59. bats :[ says:

    Sweet baby!

  60. mettabee says:

She’s holding it by the scruff of the neck, it will be hard for kitten to eat that way :(

  61. Yitzysmommie says:

Squee over the kitten and LOL at Linda 6166 explanaische of why this kittingk is being held this way.
Meg & Teho, I too want to remind you I luvs you and CO. The new job has me working HARD everyday helping my ladies with cancer and I cannot get on the site during the day. Then at home, babysitting our 4 month old grandson makes it hard to catch up.
So it’s nice to have a minnit to come back to CO and see gorgeous kittens and the peeps.
Thanks, M&T for your wonderful public service in tikkun olam (repairing the world).

  62. bookmonstercats says:

I think she’s being supported by her ‘bean to demonstarte how she won’t let go of the bottle, nohow noway, even if she’s six feet off the ground. Look at how far the teat is into her mouth.

Also lots of luv to the other peeps who are sending the loves out in this post …. I’m feeling all fuzzy….

  63. silly me, I assumed kitty was being wriggly in excitement to get the bottle (the baby version of Dancity Kitty we get around the food bowl here). NOthing like trying to hold a squirmy kitty and get the bottle.

  64. Poohbear says:

I second, third, and fifty-six what everyone else is saying about the good people of C.O.(M&T but also the commentpeeps). Luuuurve is in the air!
It occurred to me recently that we should nominate Meg and Theo for a Nobel Peace Prize – was surprised at the thought at first but then it didn’t seem so farfetched at all. Think about it! :))
    And yay for calico bitsies!

  65. bats :[ says:

tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum tum
    (Repeat as necessary)

  66. And thanks to you, Yitzysmommie, for all the good things you’re doing in the world!

  67. Totalee Puppy says:

    MEG AND THEO,
Something about a kitten hovering with bottled melks
    triggers the APPRECIATION
RESPONSE! Thank you for all the heartwarming pictures and the captivating captions (Woo-ee)…CUTE OVERLOAD ROCKS! Hope you receive this… Totalee Puppy

  68. Katrina says:

I wonder how Metz is doing…Metz, come back Metz…Metz, we hardly knew ye, OOH, Maybe Metz is on the Tardis? Well then she’ll have an adventure to tell us about!

  69. Katrina says:

    or he’ll have an adventure…

  70. Brak_Silverbone says:

Yup, I love C.O. and Meg and Theo too. You guys are doing an awesome public service, ‘specially in this day of toxic toxic media. Thumbs way, way up! (And cute ‘itten, by the way!)

  71. Katrina says:

Brak_Silverbone, and a giraffe? Can there be a giraffe involved?
