A critter site friend emailed this to me and I am at the city public library and I laughed so hard, everyone thought something was wrong with me.

This is the cutest, funniest by far, video I have ever seen! And the one got on it again. Poor little critters.

Some people like to get bent over everything. It’s how they spend the bulk of their time. I say let ‘em. Ignoring people who like to see the negative in damn near everything is pretty easy. Of course it pises them off when you ignore them, just as much as when you reply. So no need to particpate in a can’t win situation.

I live in the country, but on a somewhat busy road. My neighbor’s dog was run over a couple of weeks ago, not 50 feet from our house, and she wasn’t the first. I refuse to let my kitties run free outside because the chances of them getting run over are very high, not to mention the dogs, possums, and raccoons that could harm them. Is it cruel that I keep them inside?

I’m guessing that you’re probably not from the US. I grew up believing it’s cruel to keep a cat inside, but after moving to North America I discovered that people here generally believe that it’s cruel *not* to keep them inside. Unless they grew up on a farm. It was a bit of a culture shock.

Cats can be happy either way, depending on their personality and how they spend their kittenhood. I have one who actually seems to get depressed if he’s kept inside, and another who can entertain herself indefinitely with a speck of dust on the carpet and won’t venture further than the patio.

Cats bite and claw each others’ heads for their own amusement. Making a treadmill accelerate to a jogging pace is, well… since speeding up is awfuler than all the awful things that ever were, I won’t speed up, never speed up, never speed u-up! No sir.
