It is a little known fact, that sloths invented Now and Laters. We can also thank the sloth for Christmas Fruit Cake, and Chapstick, and that jar of mint jelly in the back of your fridge.

Baby sloths are ok. Full grown sloths don’t qualify as cute. They have moss and little bugs living in their fur as they don’t really groom themselves and they have a tendency to pee all over themselves. They only descend from the trees to have a poop but they often get covered with that too. But the babies are cute, while they’re moss and poop-free.
I would really like to have him as a pet. He could have his own room; he’d just have to hang out with me (or on me)every day.
I want the babeh! I must smooch him!

You can always tell a nervous sloth; their nails are chewed to the quick. I saw one, hanging out, at Starbucks last week. Upside-downing double espressos and still couldn’t keep up with its internet connection.

I had to call for a repairman the other day. Boy was I relieved when a sloth answered the phone.
This is at a sloth rescue center in Talamanca, Costa Rica. We actually found this little bebeh while we were walking in–turns out she lost her mother! (er, her mother lost her…) Her name is now Miss Vicky and she, along with all the other sloths we met, were absolutely adorable and friendly!
Morticiamom, you beat me to it! I was totally going to debauch that sloth! It may be the best line in an incredibly good (and long) series of novels.

We were staying in Puerto Viejo too–its gorgeous, although its gotten really built up since I was last there 8 years ago. So many great sloths everywhere!

Jaye, you can right-click on your desktop, choose Graphics Options > Rotation > 180 and it’ll flip your screen, or it might just be your desktop that changes, not sure. In any case, it’s a great trick to play on your cow orkers’ computers, especially since they’ll have to move the mouse in reverse to fix it.
[Unless this particular orker of cows is clever enough to realize that all s/he needs to do is temporarily turn the mouse around, too... - Ed.]
