Actually “teddy bears” ironically originate from Teddy Roosevelt’s era. He was an avid lover of nature, the ironic part comes from his love of hunting bears
I grew up in the Rocky Mountains. I have nothing but respect for bears (who wander into my backyard to eat my daffodils).

‘The Bear’ takes the point of view of the bear, it’s passion, life, survival, and threat by humankind.
My Mom showed me ‘The Bear’ when I was a child. I show it to my children now. I would watch it, by myself, anyday.
You,too, should watch it.
The one on the left looks like an older sibling who is more relaxed, coolly hanging back, while the one on the right the younger, more eager to please sibling. Either way they both got a lot of sharp pointy parts!
Well you can all just be jealous of ME cause I’ve acutally done what they did in Maine. I worked for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for 4 years and we went “bear denning” every February. And to answer your questions, Ermine…. they stink. LOL They’ve been cooped up in a den with a big ol’ stinky momma bear and she smells REALLY bad. They don’t make “eeping” noises when you squeeze them but they do make cute little whiny noises and try and suck on your earlopes.
Oh and those claws ARE SHARP

“Bleen” can mean whatever you want it to mean; the participial form is often used as an adverb, as in “So bleening cute.”
There’s another, more sinister use of “bleen;” it’s what people say when they type the, uh, post that comes before all the other posts in a comments thread. The other word, the dreaded “f****,” is not used around here.

My oldest son (who is right now at Marine bootcamp) still has his teddy bear that is the exact same color as the baby bear here. It even has the same pink nose because Christopher gnawed all the varnish off the nose. (Of the teddy bear, not the real live cutie seen here.) So this is a bittersweet post for me. Cute bears but I want my baby to be a baby again.

Baby bears, puppies in work desk drawers, color-coordinated puppies on couches and dilloes so beautifully photographed you can see every tiny detail- the tockses, too, how could I forget all of the tockses throughout the years,thank you. I am sending the bears to my biology-chemistry-major son in UCONN, and if you have the ability, Martha in Washington, they like them when they get them! My very best wishes to our newest Marine. No doubt there were shaking. They must have been cold and scared. All their short lives snuggled up in a dark, warm den with mommy then pulled out into the cold, bright air? Shocking and scaring for any tiny tot. But to secure their safety, they have the best defence ever – cuteness!
