2 scoobie 04.27.08 at 7:24 pm

Quite a shock when you see what he’s done

3 claw 04.27.08 at 7:27 pm

soo cute guilty face :D

4 lurkingsmirk 04.27.08 at 7:31 pm

Haha my jaw dropped at the reveal. so much destruction from such a small dog! he’s only pretending to be guilty though…

5 jules 04.27.08 at 7:36 pm

Otto is cool as a cucum-bare…

“No, I did not do eet, a cat broke in here and destroyed your pillow! I tried to stop heem…”

6 Jae 04.27.08 at 7:39 pm

I declare this a puppy frame-up! Methinks Daddy didn’t like the bright green sofa and tore up the pillow, planted the fuzz on my client’s face and then started the video camera to “show Mommy”. All evidence presented by the prosecutor is circumstantial. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I implore you to consider the facts, and the facts alone (and also the big sad puppy-dog eyes) and I am sure you will find my client not guilty (by reason of adorableness)!

7 posey 04.27.08 at 7:44 pm

Oh Otto! I bet he is a repeat offender! I will volunteer to be his parole officer… it’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it!

8 Lone 04.27.08 at 7:51 pm

Lime green couch make Otto mad, Otto sma…chew!

And no I did not in fact open that pillow, but Ive got dibs on this one for laters.

9 Charlie 04.27.08 at 7:52 pm

Mega case of Shifty eyes >_>

10 Meliisa 04.27.08 at 7:57 pm

I have a Boston…
and I have seen that look!!

Boston TERRIORISTS, that’s what they are!!

ohhhh but they are soooo cute, so you forgive them :)

11 Mandi 04.27.08 at 7:59 pm

OMG! That is too funny! My dogs haven’t been quite that bad…almost, but not quite. I can imagine the reaction. Angry, but then it’s just so funny and he looks so guilty and cute you laugh and love him!

12 Kwistee 04.27.08 at 8:00 pm

If that were my dog… he would be an outside dog from that point on!!

13 Kitten 04.27.08 at 8:00 pm

awwww, I think that’s a terrier look in general. I get that look from my JRT all the time!

14 Michelle 04.27.08 at 8:09 pm

hahaha he ate the evidence!

Free Otto! He’s been framed!

15 Isaac 04.27.08 at 8:09 pm

It was the cat. He framed me…….

16 diana 04.27.08 at 8:15 pm

ruh-roh! TRUBBLES!

17 berthaservant 04.27.08 at 8:17 pm

You can always tell a guilty pup, it’s the constant eye blinking. This isn’t a Fred Quimby cartoon, Otto, try that acting for your RADA audition.

18 happypiano 04.27.08 at 8:17 pm

i love how he’s blinking nervously. xD

19 MK 04.27.08 at 8:19 pm

>.>
.>

But it was fuzzy and delicious….

20 Zee 04.27.08 at 8:27 pm

I fordib heem. No puppeh jail. Mighty green pillow detox and rehab-that’s IT. (Otto was proteking his humans from itchy fluff allergies). Hah!

21 julimi 04.27.08 at 8:28 pm

Oh, I couldn’t stay mad at him. He’s got the “But…but…I couldn’t help it!” look down *perfect*.

22 DejaMew 04.27.08 at 8:28 pm

Ohhh…we’ve just seen the death of a green couch cushion. Poor Otto was caught with the evidence hangin from his mouf and he was still at the scene of the crime. This is terribly sad. :(

My 2 doggies and I send our sympathies to you, Otto. My Holly Cricket doggie is an adviser for whirled peas on the use of softy pillows to help with human ills. She (and I, but she thot of it furst) think that the world needs more softy pillows. Peeps wouldn’t be so grumpy and fight and start wars and stuff if they had softer pillows.

23 Lizzy 04.27.08 at 8:33 pm

Camera dude: Otto, what did you do?

Otto: Nuffins!

Dude: Ottoooo??

Otto: Uh, er, uh, no, no it wasn’t me! It was that wicked nasty cat next door! I been framed! I been fraaaaamed!

I forgeeve you Otto! Come live with me, where the green couch can torment you NO MORE!

24 Juniper Jupiter 04.27.08 at 8:42 pm

BWAHAHAHAHAAHAA!!!! XD!!!

OMG!!! I don’t care what they say aboot dogs!!! Color blind or no, this dog knows that puke-lime-pistachio-olive-emerald-asparagus
green is an UGLY-ASS COUCH COLOR!!! HAAHAHAAHAA!!

That dog deserves a Porterhouse Steak, and that man needs to put that ‘toopid camera down and THANK Otto for finally giving him an excuse to trash that travesty of an eyesore!!!

GOOD BOY, OTTO!! :D

25 Holy Cuteness 04.27.08 at 8:46 pm

Can’t get mad at that cute guilty looking doggy…

26 Taylor 04.27.08 at 9:00 pm

HAHAHAHAHAHA….

I just fell out of my chair.

Guilty? Or high on couch fuzz?

27 Kim 04.27.08 at 9:06 pm

Naughty pup!

28 dailyhamster 04.27.08 at 9:07 pm

Oh, my. Well, my kitty just got forgiven for the snags he has put in the back of my office chair. He ain’t got NUTHIN’ on this doggy. It could be sooooo much worse. . .

29 Chloe 04.27.08 at 9:14 pm

I saw the fuzz and I thought, “oh, he just made a little tear.”

How wrong I was.

30 Trisha 04.27.08 at 9:39 pm

Otto did them a favor… LIME GREEN COUCH?? Good for you Otto, they should have know better.

31 260Oakley 04.27.08 at 9:41 pm

I’m very sorry Otto, but according to the CO criminal code, you cannot plead cute:http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2008/04/watch-me.html
It’s all there in black and white.

32 Theresa 04.27.08 at 9:43 pm

GUILT does NOT work on Boston Terrorists. I know.

33 taj 04.27.08 at 9:45 pm

Plead the 5th, Otto! All I see is circumstantial evidence, and not a single witness.

34 Charlie 04.27.08 at 9:53 pm

I like the way the guy filming it has made the video almost to say look what the dog did to the cushion IT WASNT ME! wow that guys wife must be a terror!

35 binky-mama 04.27.08 at 10:02 pm

No one can do shifty eyes quite like a Boston….and I love how he tried to get rid of the evidence by eating the little piece of fuzz that was on his leeps…nice try but we wasn’t born yesterday Otto!

36 newlee 04.27.08 at 10:07 pm
37 Maria 04.27.08 at 10:23 pm

That is sooooo funny! (Well, and also a little sad for the owner of that couch!)

Our dogs always look innocent when they have done something; they know how to play the “i’m cute so you love me anyway”-face!!

38 Annie 04.27.08 at 10:26 pm

Otto: no no I did not do Eet it was the cat.. Yeah the cat, that is who it was. He snuck in and was all Slash and Mrew and rip and meow and pull out the stuffing and mreet and I was all bark bark bark and chase chase chase and I chased him away and the fuzz was cat hair not couch cushion fuz.

I swears on the doggie hand book of how to be a boston terror I mean terrier.

39 woofysma 04.27.08 at 11:11 pm

I don’t know, I’d watch out for that wagging finger – Otto might still be hungry….

40 Wombats 04.27.08 at 11:20 pm

OH NOOOZE! OTTO! Please say it isn’t so. You can come leeve by Auntie Wombats!

41 Shannon 04.28.08 at 12:26 am

My thoughts while watching this:

Wow. That is a cool colored couch. My hubby wouldn’t be caught dead with that couch in this house, but so pretty!!

Fuzz, huh? OK – so destroyed a toy. Maybe a bed pillow. OK.

O.M.G!!!!!!!!!

The hubby walks by and says “He’d a San Francisco Terrier after that.” Priceless.

42 rjanis 04.28.08 at 1:07 am

otto
cute, and good fashion sense
really it’s not his fault
if you locked Me up alone with that couch, I just may have to eet it meeselfs … still adorable, My verdict? innocent by reason of justifiable couch homicide. I blame the decoratorz.

43 cera-san 04.28.08 at 1:20 am

omg, i would have been all over my dogs if i came home to that. cute dog but its still an amazing amount of damage by something so small…

44 rosieLB 04.28.08 at 1:30 am

I confess, my first thought while watching this video was “I’ve never seen a really real cop interrogate a suspect before. How interesting.”

My second thought was “Doesn’t he *know* that asking dogs questions only makes them anxious?”

45 Robin 04.28.08 at 1:49 am

that couch. UGH. Self defense. It was self defense.

46 hey-h 04.28.08 at 2:59 am

Gosh…I guess I’m the only one who thinks that couch is really cute! (Not as cute as the pup, tho.)

47 i-dra 04.28.08 at 3:03 am

great build-up…. my toddler & i look at cute overload every day. this was so funny, i had to post! i totally yelled “oh no!” when he moved over to film the damage. note the shifty, no-eye-contact. extreeeeemly guilty! (and i like the color of the couch)

48 Anne Boleyn 04.28.08 at 3:13 am

I like how Otto’s earz go up and down with the defensive blinking. I’m with the two of you who like the couch, but I’d be over it in about a month. The first coat I ever bought for myself was that color and my mom looked at it and said, “That coat’s going to stay mighty green for a really long time.” I’ll bet it’s the same with couches.

49 Claudia 04.28.08 at 3:22 am

LOVE IT!!! What a sweet “wasn’t me I swear” look! ROTFLMAO!

50 Elizabeth 04.28.08 at 3:23 am

Omg hehe sooo cute, i really liked the couch, and i was thinking maybe a tear in the side of the couch or the corner. then i lol when i saw the distruction. And i liked how the guy almost cracked up when he was looking over all the fuzz

51 angela 04.28.08 at 3:23 am

My thought process:”That’s a really nice couch OH MY GOD!”

52 luckycliff 04.28.08 at 3:34 am

oh hey that’s a nice couch the doggie is sitting on….
oh wait
nevermind!

53 Jess 04.28.08 at 4:09 am

Aw the couch was cute…not as cute as teh puppeh. I’m sure his Mommy will forgive him!

54 Kar 04.28.08 at 4:27 am

I dunno. I’ve dealt with those viscious couches before.

They come out of nowhere and attack!

Otto deserves a defense attorney and an investigation without a doubt.

55 mandykw 04.28.08 at 4:35 am

Omg, I LOVE Otto! How hilarious.

56 Christine H 04.28.08 at 5:57 am

Hahahaha! I was in suspense for so long about what Otto did and where the fuzz came from…and then I saw it. And then I loled.

57 mydragon 04.28.08 at 6:03 am

Nope.. didn’t do it. The pillow s’ploded and he was just helping to clean it up,right?

58 Hon Glad 04.28.08 at 6:12 am

Seriously, the couch spontaneously exploded, honest.

59 HanzoMama 04.28.08 at 7:34 am

OMG I howled with laughter and an “Oh No!” when I saw the much-anticipated destruction. That is a roomful of stuffing!
And I agree with the minority, it is a cute couch. Lime green things are cute (which is why you see so many VW Bugs that color). A little tacky at times, but always cute.

60 jackie31337 04.28.08 at 9:06 am

rosieLB: “My second thought was ‘Doesn’t he *know* that asking dogs questions only makes them anxious?’”

I love how he asks the question and then pauses, as if he honestly expects the dog to answer. :)

61 Gail 04.28.08 at 9:52 am

@berthaservant: LOL’d at the Fred Quimby/RADA references!

Yeah, I’m with the minority—I liked the couch, too! Happy, pretty spring color.

Poor Otto—maybe there are certain pillows that have dastardly plans that the humans need to be protected from (like the dreaded TP)!!!

62 Subhangi 04.28.08 at 11:10 am

I LOVE that couch. Oh, Otto, why deed you do eet?

63 Barbara 04.28.08 at 11:20 am

HAHA I actually said “oh noes!” out loud.

I love Otto!
I love that couch too.

He looks totally guilty.

64 dixiechikken 04.28.08 at 1:14 pm

We fostered a Boston for awhile – tore up EVERYTHING! But then would do his little baroo? head tilt and we forgave him. Loved the fuzz on the lip…

65 dottiejean28 04.28.08 at 1:23 pm

well…I love the couch too..and Otto…I don’t however, love the guy smacking his gum the whole time he talks

66 temperance 04.28.08 at 1:54 pm

most awesome reveal ever!

mommy’s gonna be super mad, but i offer the following as a perfectly logical defense for otto’s actions:

http://www.cartoonbank.com/product_details.asp?mscssid=N8UCSQ13LNAE9G8GRD905K7TCW5VENN4&sitetype=1&did=4&sid=36692&pid=&keyword=puppies&section=all&title=undefined&whichpage=1&sortBy=popular

67 Kathleen 04.28.08 at 2:31 pm

He’s in troub-le!

68 trin 04.28.08 at 2:46 pm

“nnnoooo daaaad, it snuck up behind me and just EXPLODED.”

69 Kris 04.28.08 at 2:53 pm

OH NO!
Funny though!!!!

70 Susan 04.28.08 at 2:55 pm

Total jaw-dropping! I would be having a funeral right quick for the black n’ white. (Not really) Doghouse fersher.

71 Carolyn J. 04.28.08 at 3:31 pm

I think we need a new category – “jaw droppingks”

72 Paunchie 04.28.08 at 5:20 pm

that is highlarious!

po doggie! I gots carried aways daddy!

73 Paunchie 04.28.08 at 5:22 pm

oh and pointing at him like that – isn’t that considered aggression in dog language?

74 Lisa 04.28.08 at 5:36 pm

I love the couch, and my jaw dropped when I saw what Mr. Guilty Pants had done to it. I really don’t know how I’d react in such a situation. I had a rat terrier destroy the bottom half of a louvered door once, but that was NOTHING compared to this.

75 tank 04.28.08 at 5:37 pm

that is one pretty boston terrier…and he doesn’t look too worried either

76 ebee 04.28.08 at 5:50 pm

I finks I has to start a Witnifs Protection Program for Puppehs, called WIPPP. Dis widdle bad boy already has me WIP’d.

77 J. Bo 04.28.08 at 6:00 pm

Well, CLEARLY he was protecting his family from the evil machinations of that couch cushion.

Good job, Otto!

78 ceejoe 04.28.08 at 6:17 pm

I think Otto was probably bored and needs a companion, so it is really his owners’ own fault!
Now get thee to a shelter and adopt a widdle fwiend for Otto!

79 Paunchie 04.28.08 at 6:53 pm

domo arigato, mr. Otto!

80 Jwlls 04.28.08 at 7:13 pm

That is hilarity at it’s finest, my friends! LMAO!!!

81 LisaL 04.28.08 at 7:17 pm

Lol…. our dog Cid gets that same look when he’s done something bad.
We know when he’s done something he shouldn’t have, b/c he hides under my fiance’s desk or he’ll hide under the couch arm. He’s so cute though so we can never stay mad at him heh.

82 Misa 04.28.08 at 8:04 pm

Not funny, not cute. Crate your dog when you can’t watch him so he doesn’t kill himself by chewing something he shouldn’t. Scolding him so that humans can be entertained is not funny or cute, either. He’s not a bad dog – you are a bad owner.

83 Riley 04.28.08 at 8:08 pm

Me thinks Misa is a bit uptight.

84 Raemie L. 04.28.08 at 9:52 pm

Ahahahahahaha, the shifty eyes + nose at level with paws, the fuzz on his whiskers, and wow, lotsa stuffing that is!

The puppeh couldn’t help eet, the peellow… just called to heem.
http://icanhascheezburger.com/2008/04/11/funny-pictures-wait-dat-couch-it-calls-to-me/

85 Jayne 04.28.08 at 10:04 pm

Plead the 5th Otto! The 5th!

86 Birdcage 04.28.08 at 11:06 pm

Made me a little sad. I don’t see cute guilt – I think Otto is a little afraid – with the tips of his ears quivering and the downcast avoidance of eye contact – isn’t this more like dog submission to an aggressor instead of cute guilt? I hope the next action after the camera goes off was some serious snorglesque foregiveness…. Otto was prolly all happy that daddy was home from work and now doesn’t understand what went wrong with his presentation of the day’s accomplishments!

87 Charlotte 04.28.08 at 11:50 pm

Heh, I actually LOOOOVE that couch. Of course, my Dream Living Room has a dark orange/lime green color scheme, so I may just have no taste.

Birdcage – eh, I highly doubt Otto’s all that traumatized. He has the same look my cat gets when I yell at her for slowly but surely destroying my bedroom rug (when there’s a scratching pad two feet away!). All dejected, but slightly defiant as well. Then five minutes later she’s cuddling up to me like it never happened. Methinks Otto will get over it, and mighty quick too, considering the attention span of the average dog.

88 Mary 04.29.08 at 1:28 am

That puppeh is lucky he is still alive. He needs to be in a kennel when mommy and daddy are gone.

89 soxfan 04.29.08 at 3:27 am

Yeah I’m late here. If anyone’s still reading, LOL, Otto is not feeling guilt over destroying that pillow. He’s only reacting to the scolding. Still adorable though!

Yup yup yup, PupPupPup, Hartz products for fleas are totally useless and potentially harmful. Avoid them at all costs.

90 Babs 04.29.08 at 1:17 pm

I think this is a clear case of self-defense. Or temporary insanity. Don’t worry, Otto, I know a great lawyer!

91 Holly 04.30.08 at 3:02 am

I think that dog needs to be crated when its owners aren’t home so it doesn’t eat anything else. It could have swallowed a bunch of that stuffing and could have gotten really sick or worse. It IS cute and it IS funny but the dogs are not for our entertainment. They are like babies and we have to protect them (and apparently our furniture). I like(d) the color of the couch by the way.

92 PeaceBang 05.02.08 at 2:57 pm

Hey Doggie Daddy, put the damn camera down, stop sticking your finger into Otto’s face and whining at him, take that obviously bored dog for a long, exhausting walk, and buy him a crate while you’re at it. You’re lucky he’s still alive or that you didn’t end up with a huge vet’s bill.

Otto does not look happy, and this isn’t funny.

93 TheCavalcanti 05.02.08 at 5:02 pm

Aw, it’s cute when they are guilty. When they did do was wrong, but they looked guilty with an innocent looking and you would go AWW!

One time, my chihuahua ran away and I had to chase after her at night time! Thank goodness, I caught her when she was “doing her business.” I would never slap or anything that harm her instead I put her in her cage for a while. She simply sat in silence and her eyes wide huge (look like a cat from Shrek movie.) It made me go AWW. I open and hugged her. Hahaha!

94 catbird 05.02.08 at 7:06 pm

I actually like the couch.

95 Kim 05.04.08 at 3:29 pm

The dog is fine, he is obviously not a bad owner, that is nothing but one loved dog. So get off your high freaken horses. Besides this video is old, it has been around the block quite a few times. I have a BT very spoiled very well taken care and gets the “what did you do” talk from time to time. For while it was his nick name.

Wonder what Ottos is up to these days. sitting around farting and stealing underwear I am sure.

96 jmstargirl 05.05.08 at 6:04 pm

All I have to say is that I’d tear a pillow to shreds too if my owner talked to me like that while filming me.
