OK, this little guy obviously just managed to make his escape from somebody’s Easter basket. I don’t know what’s cuter, the downy-fuzzy wingy-thingys or the little web-footed-rubber-booties.

Love the doppler-effect hovertext.

6 who? 04.28.08 at 7:23 pm

OMG! The fluffular goosey ‘tocks!

7 berthaservant 04.28.08 at 7:33 pm

hovertext as always…exit row!!!

and, ironically, that gosling’s back is about how much space i had for my butt on the my last flight. hi-yo….

8 Michelle 04.28.08 at 7:34 pm

Stabilized. Approaching takeoff speed. Flaps positioned…

9 Moony 04.28.08 at 7:41 pm

Wow! It’s not even tiny feathers but more like fluff. I had no idea.

10 AuntieMame 04.28.08 at 7:46 pm

I would totally sit in this exit row! But it doesn’t look like it has any more leg room…

Wing stubbulence!

LUFF eet.

Squee! We have goslings right now on the grounds where I work. When they’re brand new they tend to fall-down-go-boom when they run–I feel bad for laughing, but it’s so cute!

13 fluffernugget 04.28.08 at 8:28 pm

Oh My! Fuzzy wuzzy winglet nubbins.

14 Holly 04.28.08 at 8:35 pm

OMG! Stubby winglets! NOM NOM NOM!

Do they serve quackers on this flight? ;)

15 jen 04.28.08 at 8:56 pm

Hay peepulz, hau abaut ze BEEKINGS?

18 Raemie L. 04.28.08 at 10:15 pm

Eee! Teensy wing stubs!

19 Raemie L. 04.28.08 at 10:28 pm

jmuhj, I think I looked at the beak too long, because while duckie beaks can be cute and ’smiley’ like dolphins’ “mouths”, now I think the white markings on his beak look like fangs. :P Count Duckula taking flight?

[Covers up a white marking with a hand-shaped cursor.]
Ahh, that looks better.
[Count Duckula chomps "hand".]
Owww!
Duckula: Mm… pixel-flavored.

Wingbuds!!!!! I lub heem. Me thinks these are bebe canada gooses. I lub them at this age because eventually they grow up to be beer-drinking, hockey-jersey-wearing lumberjacks and they are a little less cute then. SNORGLING GOSLINGFLUFFINESS.

21 Wendy L. 04.28.08 at 10:58 pm

jmuhj, those are not fangs on beak. Bebe is messy eater.

Birdcage, you are right. This ees a bebe candada gooses. Mama and Papa Goose were standing guard nearby.

22 Raemie L. 04.28.08 at 11:40 pm

Oops, I DID read “gosling” yet went on about ducks in my 2nd comment! Oog, and I happen to like Canadian geese, too. Nice pic, Wendy L. :)

23 Subhangi 04.29.08 at 6:38 am

OMG! Two of my Vox peeps posted about ducks, and now Meg is in on it too!

SQUACK.

The Charge of the Flight Brigade!

25 Valerie 04.29.08 at 5:28 pm

I’m laughing my butt off because the first thing I thought was “OMG, look at those adorable winglets!” And then I click on the comments and everyone is saying the same thing.

Now THIS is an airline that I wouldn’t mind being stuck on the tarmac with.

27 Sprock 04.29.08 at 5:33 pm

In deference to the teachings of my jr high English teacher, Mrs. Barnes, I must eliminate the preposition hanging at the end of my sentence.

Now THIS is an airline with which I wouldn’t mind being stuck on the tarmac.

Happy, Mrs. Barnes?

@birdcage: ROFL!!! Little peep-let is only a week old and he’s already watching “National Hockey Night” with a Canadiens jersey that’s 9 sizes too big!!!!

DUCKEHS!

(Sometimes I go to mcmurrayhatchery.com and fantasize about getting pet ducklings. It’s like window shopping.)
