Vanilla with caramel-coated ears! My favorite!!

12 Hon Glad 04.24.08 at 6:09 am

Bun, I approve of this pink towelio.

13 amy 04.24.08 at 6:34 am

I was watching animals cops Houston tonight and they rescued 55 rabbits from some crazy old woman’s house. Among the 55 were 7 wee little babies and THEY WERE SO TINY AND CUTE AND WANTED TO NIBBLE THEIR LITTLE EARS. I wish I could rent some baby bunnies for few hours. Just to get the snorgling out of my system and spare my ornery cats

14 Errata 04.24.08 at 6:35 am

I love the grass stained feet. Someone’s had a busy day of hopping.

15 gravyboat 04.24.08 at 6:39 am

Is that cute leel bun riding in a car? Let her drive, dammit!!!

16 Christine H 04.24.08 at 7:19 am

17 abad 04.24.08 at 7:47 am

This bun needs a tummy rub

18 Rachel 04.24.08 at 8:10 am

Where do you find such precious animals? The bunny I had for a while scratched and bit me. Definitely none of this cuddly fluff action.

19 Z 04.24.08 at 8:11 am

OH EM GEE, peoples. OH-EM-GEE!!!

20 Gail 04.24.08 at 10:32 am

Oh Gee, Oh Gosh! :D
Ya wanna but a bunny?!

*dies from cute sleepitude*

23 Clare 04.24.08 at 11:16 am

PAWS UP!

Rachel, buns have to be socialised to humans from a young age, otherwise they get frightened when they’re handled and struggle. Pet shops usually don’t bother. :(

24 rabble 04.24.08 at 12:38 pm

martha you took the words right out of my mowf. which is fine, because it makes more room for ears. *nom nom nom*

25 metsakins 04.24.08 at 12:40 pm

28 Gina 04.24.08 at 1:10 pm

Meeeeeep! Bunnalicious – my office mates are laughing at me for squealing out loud. Do want!

29 Theresa 04.24.08 at 1:13 pm

Wait, EV, if there are no ears, how can we leave the ears alone? (head spinning)

30 Claire 04.24.08 at 1:25 pm

Isss feetsies green cause bun was running in tall green spring grass? I hope so!

31 Theresa 04.24.08 at 1:51 pm

BTW, I think those ears were dipped in caramel sauce. ;)

32 chanpon 04.24.08 at 1:52 pm

This bunny has every right to disapprove of being woken up from his snuggly slumber, and yet he does not look so disapproving. What is the meaning of this??

33 kar 04.24.08 at 2:10 pm

Can you say “Pat the Bunny?”

With that pink towel he looks just like the book cover!

BTW, we’re going on a car ride? Hopefully not to the vets!

34 Lindsey 04.24.08 at 2:27 pm

So cute!!

35 ThreeCatNight 04.24.08 at 2:48 pm

Bunneh white and beige against pink is just so beautiful. Liquid eyes, and those little pawses that look almost as if he’s in prayer, never mind the hind feets. Reminds me of the bunnehs I saw last night on Animal Cops Houston Precinct. Absolutely adorable.

36 David 04.24.08 at 2:50 pm

I’m curious, do bun bun’s like to have their ears stroked, or are they too sensitive?

37 ink 04.24.08 at 3:10 pm

Claire, no ways! He was SPROINGING! :-)

38 goodlookingelf 04.24.08 at 3:16 pm

To get a nice bunneh like this you have to handle them and get them fixed. One of the best pets I ever had was a fixed male bun, better at using the litter box than any cat. That said, this one is so cute, I almost exploded from the sight!

39 snoopysnake 04.24.08 at 3:19 pm

Awww…bunneh’s all hopped out for the day and sayin’ his prayers before goin’ sleeegv…zzzzzzzzzz

40 Annie 04.24.08 at 3:30 pm

42 Darkflame173 04.24.08 at 4:30 pm

Gimme dat bunneh! Nao!!

@_@!!! Must…have…bunneh!!!!!!!

43 David 04.24.08 at 4:32 pm

This bun bun is so sweet, I wonder if it’s full of chocolate inside.

44 zski 04.24.08 at 4:43 pm

David, most bunnies like ear-rubs. You take them between thumb and fingers and rub gently. They also like massages and skritches at the base of the ears. And the “Axis of snorgling” on a bunneh is just at the back of the head and the top of the neck – sooooo soft!

45 CoffeeCup 04.24.08 at 5:03 pm

David, bunnies do like getting their ears rubbed, like zski said. Mine really enjoys being petted from the tip of the nose up to the ears. His little bunny eyes start closing when I pet him between his ears and the back of the neck. Mine also really likes being stroked around the cheeks.

Funny thing is, I’ve read that most bunnies don’t like having their tummies rubbed.

46 David 04.24.08 at 5:05 pm

zski, thanks. One more question, do they have full control of their ears? Sometimes I see one up, one down, like blades on a helicopter.

47 Jenni Fahl 04.24.08 at 5:08 pm

I died of Cute just now…

48 CoffeeCup 04.24.08 at 5:56 pm

They do have control of their ears! My bunny keeps both ears up (not a lop-eared bunny, obviously) but he’ll twitch his ears and angle them in whatever direction he wants them in to hear a noise. Sometimes I’ve caught him making his ears into scissors (one up one half down).

49 Patty P 04.24.08 at 6:08 pm

*head s’plodes*

50 zski 04.24.08 at 6:14 pm

Those one-up one down bunnies are usually lops whose ears haven’t “lopped” yet. All babybuns have uppy ears, but if they are a lop the ears will “settle” as they grow. If they are mixed lop and uppy, they may not settle all the way down, or only one may.

My bunny is lop-eared and she has VERY expressive ears! She will tilt them forward and up when she is curious about something – like long skinny radar dishes!

After so long with a lop, uppy-eared bunnies look nervous to me because their ears are always moving and swiveling around.

Way to make me snorf out loud in the middle of class… at a tewtally inappropriate moment. “Sexual slaver–” “SNORF!” ” ?? “

I really hope Google AdSense doesn’t use the comments in its ad-selection and targeting algorithms…

53 Kaylee 04.24.08 at 7:31 pm

Her name is Scribble Bunny:) She LOVES her tummy rubbed and snuggles up to everyone. She was on her way home from visiting family, so not a scary vet visit:)

54 kar 04.24.08 at 8:33 pm

She’s a sweetie Kaylee!

55 Marie 04.24.08 at 10:52 pm

First of all fun-nee work by Kaylee. Loved the commentary very much! And I have to say whoever took these photos is brilliant. This bun is sooo precious and you conveyed every ounce of that. Thanks so much!

56 Melisma 04.25.08 at 12:32 am

Aw, Kaylee, what an adorable bun you have. My sister had a bunny for a while and I loved her (the bunny, not my sister… I mean, my sister too, but… never mind). The bunny, Sprinkles, did like having her ears rubbed, but her favourite massage area was the cheeks.

57 Lizzy 04.25.08 at 12:52 am

LOLzers, Teho – at least this didn’t come up during our unit on STDs. O_o

58 Raemie L. 04.25.08 at 3:01 am

Ahh… so very cute, almost toy-like (dunno how else to put it) to me in the first pic.

59 Jasper 04.25.08 at 10:04 am

I wish my bunnies would stay nice and still like that to be stroked :(

60 acelightning 04.25.08 at 12:40 pm

I’m dead. D-E-D dead. I have been bunnified into a diabetic coma by this delicious little sweetie.

She reminds me of my last bun, a purebred Netherland Dwarf. Mine was soft shades of silvery grey, so her name was Moonbeam. She was tiny and sweet, but also full of spirit. I miss all my bunnies, but I think I miss Moonbeam the most.

*wipes away tears*

It’s just not possible to be sad, though, when looking at a tiny little bunnikins like this one.

61 Shannon 04.25.08 at 3:28 pm

*splod!*

***the noise it makes when being squeezed to death**** :)
