First… tentative… steps?

…er, rolls…

…brought to you by Casa deFeliz 😉

  1. So cute and stumbleriffic!

  2. cuter than rolls, sorry bad pun

  3. That brings new meaning to the term “Rollypolly”

  4. Courtney says:

    awww, poor puppeh.

I like how his tail is wagging while he rolls around. “I have no idea what’s going on!”

  5. Yitzysmommie says:

Oh Ian, you are wonderful, you roly poly puppy!

  6. Did any of you hear the little puppeh grunts? I L-O-V-E puppeh grunts!!!!

  7. Kallisto says:

    That is just… Ahn!

  8. I agree – the puppeh grunts are amazing!

I saw on his caretaker’s blog that this poor little fellow was found somewhere – poor guy! I didn’t get a chance to read the blog super-thoroughly but it looks like they never found his momma :(. But he’s in good hands now!

  9. So cute and he’s so happy wagging his tail-io!

  10. too

  11. kk3,

I heard the little grunts too! Ehn, ehn, ehn, *stubby tail wag* ehn *roll*

    TOO MUCH I tell ya!

  12. *kaboom*
    there goes my heart.

  13. Space Cowgirl says:

Yeah, that’s about how I feel on Monday morning.

  14. Puppies “eh eh eh’s” almost killed me. (;_;) He almost looks like a chubby baby otter from behind.

  15. Concerned Animal Lover says:

This is torturous to watch. Put the baby back with his mother.

  16. Concerned Animal Lover – you should probably scope things out before you start nuffing cause…if you read what megusmaximus said, you’d see that the puppy was found alone and that they could not find the mother. Thus, they are actually helping not harming/hindering this little morsel.

  17. MamaDawn says:

Tiny puppers… white carpet… baaaad combination.

  18. Looks pretty well cared for and loved to me.

    ps. slurp-tastic-awesomeness!!!!

  19. I looked at the puppy’s other videos on YouTube- what a sweetheart!! Ian’s his name and he’s a little rot mix. I agree with Megus- the little guy is in a good home now- especially since they can’t find the mother. Just look at the YouTube page and watch him eat! Total super bleen!

  20. Animalphiles Annie says:

    The blog is TEH AWSUM!
Lucky puppy to have found such wonderful, obviously doting human parents.

Puppy grunts was the best part of this vid. Watch the vid of him getting his “Easter dinner” on the blog – puppy slurps!!!

  21. Chanpon, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought “chubby baby otter” when looking at this puppeh!

  22. “I can do it… I can do it… I can… *plop!* Oops.” 🙂

  23. Awww… I’m looking over the blog now. So cute. I’m so glad that such caring people found the puppy before anything happened to him.

  24. yankeebird says:

  25. otter or puppy? you decide.

  26. Too…hard… to move legs…on perfectly spherical… puppeh…

  27. I’ll be the first to say it…that puppy is clearly wasted. Drunk off his tocks.

Oooooh, young drinking puppy, will you ever learn to hold your drinkings?

  28. Wobble wobble roll roll wobble wobble roll roll SQUEEK wobble wobble roll roll Wobble wobble Squeek Roll get snorgled… Ahhh A puppy’s life.

  29. So cute, it brought tears of joy to my eyes!!!! I think the ‘ehn! ehn! ehn!’ was what did me in… Oh my.

  30. Hon Glad says:

Methinks this little nublet will grow into a big old boy.

  31. Cutest little puppy “ehn” sounds EVAR!

  32. I really thought he WAS an otter at first, slight confusion! he’s so cute. Heartwarming story, nice to hear on an icky day.

  33. TOOTIE ROLL wif feets…
    needs to be nom nommed.

    who gave that puppeh Heinikens?

  34. O, wot an adorable little sausage!!!!

  35. Aww just look at those little tail wags. What a sweetheart.

  36. berthaslave says:

That puppeh’s name should be “Butter”….

    (squealing with delight)

  37. I totally blame this site for my rampant use of the word ‘tailio’.
What a sweet baby pup. So sad it has no real mom, but looks like it’s in good hands. I must admit this was a bit painful to watch though! Those first steps are the hardest!

  38. Between the roly poly and the Easter dinner slurpage, I am

  39. peaseapea says:

I forsee difficulties here – two-leggeds teaching a four-legged how to walk? Oh noes! In his confusion he instead learns how to roll everywhere!

I’m glad that I actually looked into the story behind this pup before getting upset. I was wondering why this young fella was away from his mom.

  40. Juniper Jupiter says:

    Definitely an Otterbearpup!!

  41. gravyboat says:

Roly poly pell mell tumble bumble!

  42. Looks *very* strong for a puppy that young with no mother to feed it. Whatever they are doing to care for it, they are doing well.

  43. Patricia says:

When I was in high school we took in a kitten who had been abandoned in a sack on the side of the road. He was so small he fit in the palm of your hand and we had to use a special baby formula from the vet and feed him with an eyedropper. He grew up just fine.

It sucks that people abandon baby animals to die. I am really glad this little rolly polly guy found a good home.

  44. “I’m glad that I actually looked into the story behind this pup before getting upset.”

Trust me, I’m glad too 😛

    What a sweet, sweet vid.

  45. Did anyone else see the poo in the background? Someone needs to put down the camera for a few secs and grab the Resolve!

  46. It’s not poo, it’s a dog chew toy.

  47. benvenuta says:

To Concerned Animal Lover: Little puppies need exercise from early age. Ian would practise his walking even if he was in a cozy nest with his dog mom. He`d wobble around aimlessly exactly as he does in the video. That`s what puppies do.

  48. Ah, gravyboat, thanks for the flashback.

  49. Furbabies says:

Pheas/Gravyboat: The Pokey Little Puppy! My absolutely favorite book ever.

  50. OHHH i absolutley adored the pokey little puppy!! i used to read that book over and over when i was little. that puppy in the vid is to die for!! The grunts were too much.

  51. “drunk off his tocks” made me laugh so hard i was rolling like the pupster 😀

  52. R. Moore says:

    Puppy slug!

Only slightly more rolly than my kitten slugs of old. No more kitten slugs for me! (Momma’s been fixed for a while now.)

  53. Rachel Sweeden says:

The video of the puppy taking his first steps is si adorable. Best of luck to ya!!!

  54. Elizabeth says:

Squeeee! The grunts, the grunts! They killed me ded…

  55. OMG, the people think that bebbeh otter is a doggie! 🙂

  56. Awwwww, what a pwecioush bebeh! He DOES look like an otter.

  57. Soooooo adorable! 🙂

  58. susan&dibbles says:

I really hope they hadnt taken this pup away from his mom. he looks too little to be on his own unless they were nursing him.

  59. CoffeeCup says:

susan&dibbles, as many others have said, this is not the case. The owners found the puppy alone, could not find its mother. End o’story!

What an adorable little otterpuppy! It looks like he was thinking he got the hang of it and then WHOOP! Kind of reminds me of some people when they’ve had a little too much to sip, ifyouknowhwatimean…

  60. rdhwyalane says:

File that one under “Cute or sad?”

  61. clara gilbert says:

teh carpet won’t be white for long but puppah is worth it.

  62. that was adorable but i hate it when people give their pets blatant human names.

  63. The poor terrified puppeh

  64. lol so cute.
Snorgle snorgle, roll roll, snorgle snorgle, roll roll!now thts one pup tht wants to turn into a sausage!
