Just imagine how boring life would be if animals had the capacity for shame and self-consciousness like we do. We get such a kick out of them with pictures like this because they don’t know how perfectly silly they look sometimes and they don’t really care. Must be nice….
Yay – my submission got posted! Thank you Meg! I thought this was great and worthy of CO. Yes, it is Chaka from the Daily Kitten, but reminds me of my kitty Charlotte, but she mustn’t see this picture or she might get ideas!
The writing tutor in me cannot help but mention that “momentarily” means “for a moment,” not “in a moment.” Common misconception. Unless, of course, the lamp was previously broken, then fixed, and now the kitteh is going to break it again. Then one could say that the lamp was fixed momentarily. And I’m a nerd . . .
One Skunk Todd – LOL! You’re right about the bad Fang Shui! Or, as we folks to the relative west of the Feng Shui practitioners like to call it, Vasthupidity.
(Also known as Feng Phooey.)
Anyway, I think I’ll fix the kitteh some nice cool catnipade for his hard work…
I have no Idea what I am doing here but I am gonna leave a mark on this light somehow????????????
AAAAAAAAAAArrRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
dare i bleen?
What a stinker. I love kitties.
I think this kitty might have an electrifying future…
Durn. No bleen for me.
in answer to how many kittens does it take to change a lightbulb….
Kittens don’t do that kind of manual labor thankyouverymuch
I lovee it when little kitties are trying to destroy things…:-P
There could be a shocking conclusion.
This is an lolcat waiting to happen. Kitties are so funny.
Dis’ kitteh must be good at opening up beer bottles huh?
This kitten’s name is Chaka, she was the Daily Kitten (dailykitten.com) on March 5th, 2008!
Check it out!
The comments from the “Daily Kitten” are the best. “Baby Chaka at 10 weeks. We’re not sure why, but she hates this lamp.”
Clearly, she has strong opinions about how her home is decorated.
My cat Stinky likes to sit next to the lamp with his head inside the lampshade.
Perhaps that is why he is stinky? Burned cat hair. Pee UUUUU
this picture cracks me up!
….And cue the nuffers saying how kittehs should not be anywhere near electrical devices.
I love when kittehs get into things. I don’t have a cat, so I live mischievously through others.

How many kittehs does it it take to change a light bulb?
Only one….but you have to wait for the world to revolve around HIM.
Hey… who broke into our house and took a picture of one of the cats?
(seriously, it looks just like one of ours!)
I’m in yr lighting fixchurs, assaultin’ yr shadez.
I love the intensity of Chaka’s expression.
“Darn. Trying to adjust this, and it just isn’t happening – phew! And it don’t taste too good, either! Oh, I really needed to take my vitamins today!”

Maybe this little sweetie is feeling her “inner Martha Stewart” and is simply *redecorating*!!
It takes three cats to change a lightbulb.
One to change the bulb, and OMG STRING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aww! and no electrician’s crack because the fur covers it up!
…i get a catnip break in 5.
sorry, ma’am. Union rules.
I dont make em, I just work by ‘em.
Watts going on here?

LOL, Sarah F! But then, kitteh is an electrician. Not a college professor.
A kitten ‘lectrician. Watt can be cuter?
Well! actually, “momentarily” can mean both “for a moment” and “in a moment”.
See: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/momentarily
(I’m a proofreader, so just as nerdy/anal.)
haha! This cat looks like one experienced electrician!
(I really do wonder though why he is chomping on that lamp :S)
attica! attica! attica!
Must be some bad Fang Shui.

I have to admit, as a cat owner, that does make me feel a little queasy.
Not only for the kitty, but for the lamp!
yeah, Aubrey, but why do you s’pose he’s all amped up?
“arrrang”… hee hee.
One Skunk Todd: ooh, pun! Ohm my!
Kitty’s flat ears: is this a Scottish Volt?
This picture cracks me up everytime I see it.
