OMG, the kneesies, peeps! The kneesies! Must keese the kneesies!

  2. TFMS says:

The “come hither” look on Kamineko’s face makes this especially PURRFECT for a temptation commercial.

Heck I am going to buy a bag and I don’t even have a kitteh.

  3. momof2kitties says:

    Oh, and “Paws Up!”

  4. kim says:

Let me distract and deter you with the cute…

  5. DaytimeDeb says:

Poor baby, you can see how starving he is. His body has to catch up to his big head! More treats, please…

  6. ceejoe says:

oh yeah – my kittehs luuuuuuuuuuuv those Temptations!

  7. DaytimeDeb says:

Oh, and Kitteh — next time wear gloves so you don’t leave your paw prints all over the “evidence.”

  8. Sarahjeanne says:

my cat goes CRAZY for those, and she’s not generally into treats. They don’t make her kitty breath any better, though.

  9. Uilleand says:

My Tao kitteh is a Temptations whore. What do they put in those things??
He’ll put himself in his carrier, just in case I want to go somewhere and bribe him.

*shakes head* addiction is a powerful thing….

  10. Kristin says:

    LOVE the striped mini-mouse action!!

  11. Kar says:

If you believe that face is innocent, I’ve got some ocean front property outside of Phoenix that we need to discuss. It comes with it’s own bridge so big you’d think it reaches to Brooklyn.

  12. claudia says:

OMG that stuff is Kitty Crack.

We can’t even open a CEREAL box without making Maddy go nuts. She used to be a quiet cat, until she tried that stuff. Meow!

  13. Annie says:

Hhehehe Love the sneak attack paws grabbing the treats before the beautiful striped mouse.
My three love those treats also.

  14. Wow, what a beautiful kitty!

  15. debg says:

I can’t stop laughing. What an anerable kitteh! The knees kill me, as do the grin, and the sweet eyes, the … you get the picture.

  16. taj says:

That *is* a good advertisement! My kitties turn their noses up at kitty treats, but with all the rave reviews, I may have to get some of this brand for them to try!

  17. MandaBain says:

I can’t get over how NON-innocent that first pic is! Very centerfold, if you ask me: “Heh, Behbeh…I got some nip AND a bag o Temptations under the couch here…you just CAN’T say no!”

  18. Rumi says:

My cat Summer is the sweetest thing ever, and she loves those treats.

My cat Benny, on the other hand, while I love him dearly, clearly has the kitteh version of ADHD, and is often too aggressive towards my boyfriend and I, and towards Summer. Seriously. To the point where we had to consult with and take him to an animal behaviorist (for $300!!!), and will soon be getting him his very own Prozac prescription.

Nonetheless, when we shake a bag of these Temptations treats (any flavor, though he seems particularly partial to the dairy), ol’ Benny-boy comes a-runnin’, tail up, ears up, purring like all get out and rubbing ALL up on us, lol. He LOVES ‘em!!!!

  19. muhj says:

Pimp thoas Temps, Kamineko! QteQteQte kawaii SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  20. AuntieMame says:

The picture on the front of the package doesn’t look very appetizing. It looks like tiny lumps of coal with some brown crud stuffed in the middle…

And while I wouldn’t call Kamineko’s expression in photo #1 exactly innocent, that shy/sly sideways glance would melt the heart of all but the most hardened judges.

  21. Theo says:

AuntieM — agreed on your first point… but I don’t think we’re the target market.

    OK, maybe peripherally.

As for your second point, I have NOOOOOOO idea what you’re talking about. Nuh uh.

  22. tracyFlick says:

I work in advertising, and this is an excellent ad. It looks like the mouseh wants some too. Two target audiences. Well done.

  23. fish eye no miko says:

kami = “god(ess)”, neko = “cat”–that seems about right for little Goddess McKittehpants here ^_^

  24. Shadyman says:

    Ahahaha those Temptations got tiefed!

  25. AuntieMame says:

Theo is apparently immune to the winsome appeal of a small kitteh when it is exerting all of its powers of (delinquent) charm.

    Riiiiiight…

  26. Annie says:

You know how Kitty is all rocking the sex kitten look in Photo One… Well they say sex sells so .. Sell Kitty Sell.
    ; )

  27. 9poppy says:

theo get some for bounce and maybe you’ll get it.

KAR YOU MAKE ME LOL so hard my sides hurt……….

Kitteh paws of stealingks is this your first offesive little one or are you up to petty crime

  28. sunnymum says:

The first photo reminds me of the Joey character on Friends. “How YOU doin’? And yes, my cat luvs Temptations as well. Flavors must be beef and chicken and they must be appropriately alternated otherwise she grows weary of the flav.

  29. PERFECT! If the temptashons peeps don’t really use these they are missing one of the greatest grassroot ad campaigns evah!

Remember when Target embraced the common public name for them, Tar-jay? That turned their rep around as a company that didn’t take themselves too seriously.

If I saw a campaign like the above, I would so check out the products! Do it!

  30. Mary (the first) says:

I don’t normally get my kitteh “treats” but I might have to try these. She’s not quite spoiled enough yet. (that’s a joke).

  31. Glix says:

Are they really that good? One of my cats is really finicky about treats (can you imagine?) and so far, of what I’ve tried, will only eat freeze-dried fish or Whisker Lickin’s Dreamy Duos, Milk and Cheese flavor.

  32. Gail says:

Wow, I guess I’ve been depriving the kittehs!!!Honestly these pics plus all your testimonials would make a great ad!!!!

Must bring some home before kittehs revolt……which naturally leads to Mel Brooks reference:
    “Sire, the peasants are revolting!”
“You’re telling me! They stink on ice!!”

  33. Kelloli says:

Hurrah for cat feets and treats!

  34. ilurvemakeup says:

    Ahhh sooooo cuuuuuuuuuuutttteee!!!! =^_^=

  35. core says:

The kitteh wins the come-hither-looks award, but what I noticed most was the lovely knitted afghan in the background! Someone is a seriously good knitter.

  36. Sam888 says:

zoinks, just taking treats?! Shock and horror! Shouldn’t we be “training” this cat, giving it electroshock or something, so it doesn’t just steal treats? What if it overeats and dies!

  37. momof2kitties says:

We’ve never tried this particular brand of treat but my kittehs go bonkers for the Feline Greenies, any flavor. My vet recommended them for tartar control issues for the lovely and demure Miss Mia. She’s been known to nap in the pantry underneath the shelf where they are kept, just in case, ya know, a bag might spontaneously split open and fall like manna from the heavens above. Kitteh crack, indeed!

  38. yankeebird says:

I’d get these for my cats, but I already have enough problems with my Schön and treats. She knows where I keep her Pounce and any time she sees my eyes even move in that direction, she goes and sits next to the basket they’re in and meows hopefully. This happens multiple times a day and you’d think I never gave her a treat.

However, just in case I do decide to ever change her brand of kitty crack, will someone tell me if they are hard or soft treats?

  39. Mrs. Catlabash says:

They’re hard, with a soft center. Clear as mud, right? But that’s actually their selling point, it’s even on the package.

They smell vile, IMO. Crunchy liver, crunchy salmon, what can I say, use your imagination. But the kittehs wuv ‘em, it’s twoo.

I’ve started setting out food for a sweet little stray who lives in our neighborhood, and even she almost overcomes her fear of people when these treats are in the offing. She’ll sit on the top patio step, very vigilant, making sure the hairless munkee doesn’t skimp on the crunchies.

Sigh. I wish I could spoil her like all the pampered indoor kittehs, but I’m afraid that’s not to be. She’d be terrified of *indoors.* But at least I can make sure she gets fed, and gets treats, and maybe I can find some help to get her spayed.

  40. Subhangi says:

    Awwwwww! Diggin’ that come-hither look.

Anyone know what her name means? I know “Neko” means cat in Japanese, so what does “Kami” mean?

  41. Judith says:

Kami means god or spirit. So Kamineko is my little kitty goddess :)

  42. Hon Glad says:

Kar. I am interested in the sea front property, of course I am a foreigner and don’t know the area.

  43. bookmonstercats says:

I love the knitted cushion (second after the kitteh of course). I vote a knitted cat-egory (and dog-egory.. and rat-egory…. oh heck, you get it) *slinks off*

  44. Addis says:

My cats go crazy for Temptations! As soon as they see my hand within the vicinity of the bag’s storage place, they come running!

  45. edward says:

I’m sorry, but that kitten needs some serious poking, right in the belly. STAT!

  46. Nieva says:

Yeah I have a few mornings waking up to ripped up bags of temptations. PT swears they have some magical powers that make him fly. lol

  47. kk3 says:

Emma only eats Temptations…she would not eat anything else! Also, the ingrediants aren’t bad!!! Pounce treats gave my other two food allergies and they both started cropping their fur until I could figure out what was going on. I stopped giving them Pounce treats and all was well again in the world.

  48. ThreeCatNight says:

Here I am, lookin’ cute, and then, he pounces -

    (A little music from the ’70s) –

“Gimme that, gimme that, gimme gimme gimme that,
    Gimme that thing,
    gimme that, gimme gimme that,
    Gimme that thing ,
    Gimme that, gimme gimme that,
    Gimme gimme gimme that thing!”

  49. Yitzysmommie says:

Oh I so hope the Temptations peeps use this great ad!
Hi all! My computer has been down, and I started a new job, and we have been busy with a newborn grandson, and I have missed all of you!
My SNRGL license plate arrived and is now on my car. As soon as we have a second we’ll send in pix.
Happy YM, glad to be back.

[Hey, take a *good* shot of that license plate, YitzMom; I'll wanna stick it in the Glossary... - Ed.]

  50. Babs says:

@Momof2: Yep, my overlords are nuts for the Greenies too. They get ‘em for a bedtime snack, and the entire evening after I get home from work, whenever I go out to the kitchen, they come running expecting their snack. They luvs their Greenies.

  51. Annie says:

    Yay Yitzsmommie.. Welcome back.. (((Hugs)))

    Love the license plate.

  52. momof2kitties says:

    @YM-

    Welcome back!

Howzabout a picture of the new grandbaby to go along with the license plate, hmm? I mean, talk about your Cute Overload; hoomin babehs are teh tops!

  53. Noelegy says:

I’m not certain, but I believe that afghan might be crocheted, not knitted.

And Kamineko is gorgeousness personified (felinified?).

  54. Charlie says:

the little tiny tiger paws! I wish to nom them! nom nom nom

  55. berthaslave says:

    WB, YM!!

Centerfold kitteh is working for blue money.

    “When this is all over,
    We’ll be in clover…”

  56. crazyauntvicki says:

My kitterscat, Meepers would live off of the green ones if she could. She gets some several times a day. I have to make special trips to Walmart(where they are the cheapest) to get them for her because she would kill me if I didn’t, I’m sure.

  57. crazyauntvicki says:

Oh and the first picture is very sexy, look at that lanquid pose, face, those eyes…..

  58. scoobie says:

Just because all these kitties are addicted to these things doesnt mean they are heathly for them. I dont know this product but I do believe lots of kitty treats are basically mass produced sweets for cats

  59. leah b. says:

I got some of those temtation cat treats for my three and I am there new best freind they cannot get enough.
Thanks for posting the treats, and oh yea the kitteh!!!! LOL

  60. Julie says:

  61. candy says:

  62. lunaluvr says:

  63. Daphne Moss says:

Aww…da stripey downy puffalicious belley…the relaxed paws and da sweet face…the Marilyn Monroe of kittehs!
My cat loves those snacks…the beef ones…jumps up on the counter and wails for em

  64. chris says:

I’m late to this show, but Kamineko actually means “Biting Cat”.

It comes from an anime called Azumanga Daioh, where the animal lover Sakaki desperately wants to pet the unnamed outdoor cat, but every attempt to do so gets her bitten. The cat is thus labelled “Kamineko”.
