There is some serious bunny-tail action going on here. I hope they take that into consideration when chucking the bun. Serious drag coefficient. It could steer that bun right into the the end zone,though.
Why are folded animals so cute? Bunnies, hammies, people-(think Celine Dion’s baby’s pictures)…so incredibly cute. Any more folded animals? Bring them on!
This gives a different definition to ‘watching the fur fly’.
I really don’t want to be a nuff or nuffin’, but the idea of throwing a bunny makes me unhappy. But at least the bun disapproves of the idea as well. Now put the bunnikins down GENTLY, and right-side-up, and let him hop around on that lush green lawn (assuming it hasn’t been coated with pesticides and fertilizer).

I think the folded up bodies just make them resemble babies in the fetal position.
While a grown adult curled up like that is a worrying sign, for small children, animals and well, babies, being curled up (extra points if sleeping) makes ‘em look vulnerable and infantile.
Anne Geddes has made a mint off of this as you’ve mentioned.
I’m sad that I can’t look at this without thinking of the puppy throwing marine. I’m trying to just acknowledge that this is a cute bun curled up in a hand.

I recently saw the video and found it unspeakably appalling. I hope they find the soldiers who did it and kick them out.
Ya’ll are worried about Mr. Bun’s safety for no reason. Look at that lush green grass, that blue, clear sky…Spring is on the way and the new crop of Spring Buns has just come in. The hand holding Mr. Bun is not preparing to throw him, it’s just plucked him fresh from the bun patch! Love his toe tufts, by the way!

I’m amazed that the bun lets the handler …handle her that way. Buns, generally, notoriously hate being picked up. I know mine enjoys a good pick up for a lap session, mostly done in front of the food network, but otherwise he totally disapproves of being carried around like a football. This bun is of steel.
Lol, I too found this a nice antidote to the horrid Marine video. Trust me, if buns wasn’t cool with this, there wouldn’t be a picture and the owner would probably not have a hand.

I just want to say that snopes has an entry on the video of the marine throwing a puppy, and they’re saying right now that it is “undetermined” and that it is very possible the video is fake. Given current sentiments by some people about the military, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was someone’s idea of a sick joke masked in a “political statement” about the troops.

I am the owner & photographer of this rabbit. His name is Bunschen. I’m really surpised at all the comments on this pic. The football analogy never occurred to me! It’s just a way to hold him with one hand and snap him with the other. This is just a calm rabbit who doesn’t mind being held like that because he knows he’ll get a snuggle and be put down quick enough to rejoin his other rabbit friend. That is not a Sear’s background, it is my yard. They spend their days in a little pen and their nights indoors.
