I don’t think the bunny disapproves. It looks more like he’s one of those football players who is really determined to beat the other teams’ butt…or bun…
There is some serious bunny-tail action going on here. I hope they take that into consideration when chucking the bun. Serious drag coefficient. It could steer that bun right into the the end zone, though.
Why are folded animals so cute? Bunnies, hammies, people-(think Celine Dion’s baby’s pictures)…so incredibly cute. Any more folded animals? Bring them on!
I really don’t want to be a nuff or nuffin’, but the idea of throwing a bunny makes me unhappy. But at least the bun disapproves of the idea as well. Now put the bunnikins down GENTLY, and right-side-up, and let him hop around on that lush green lawn (assuming it hasn’t been coated with pesticides and fertilizer).
I think the folded up bodies just make them resemble babies in the fetal position.
While a grown adult curled up like that is a worrying sign, for small children, animals and well, babies, being curled up (extra points if sleeping) makes ‘em look vulnerable and infantile.
Anne Geddes has made a mint off of this as you’ve mentioned.
I’m sad that I can’t look at this without thinking of the puppy throwing marine. I’m trying to just acknowledge that this is a cute bun curled up in a hand.
Ya’ll are worried about Mr. Bun’s safety for no reason. Look at that lush green grass, that blue, clear sky…Spring is on the way and the new crop of Spring Buns has just come in. The hand holding Mr. Bun is not preparing to throw him, it’s just plucked him fresh from the bun patch! Love his toe tufts, by the way!
I’m amazed that the bun lets the handler …handle her that way. Buns, generally, notoriously hate being picked up. I know mine enjoys a good pick up for a lap session, mostly done in front of the food network, but otherwise he totally disapproves of being carried around like a football. This bun is of steel.
Lol, I too found this a nice antidote to the horrid Marine video. Trust me, if buns wasn’t cool with this, there wouldn’t be a picture and the owner would probably not have a hand.
Spring is here, thoughts turn to exercise. Hmmm, wonder how much the bunny weighs.
Instead of hand weights grab, softly please,a fluffy bunny.
Up down up down
kiss on bunny’s little nose up down up oh oh bunny looking funny, put bunny down, softly please, on the ground.
Bunny is deciding “bite her now or after I puke ?” Ok, bunny hand weights not a good idea.
I just want to say that snopes has an entry on the video of the marine throwing a puppy, and they’re saying right now that it is “undetermined” and that it is very possible the video is fake. Given current sentiments by some people about the military, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was someone’s idea of a sick joke masked in a “political statement” about the troops.
I love a good commenta-versy but lets just enjoy all the good QTE and bun tocks and always know is is OUR refuse from the mean nasty world.!!!!!!
NUFFFFNUFFFF to mean things
I am the owner & photographer of this rabbit. His name is Bunschen. I’m really surpised at all the comments on this pic. The football analogy never occurred to me! It’s just a way to hold him with one hand and snap him with the other. This is just a calm rabbit who doesn’t mind being held like that because he knows he’ll get a snuggle and be put down quick enough to rejoin his other rabbit friend. That is not a Sear’s background, it is my yard. They spend their days in a little pen and their nights indoors.
Is this bunny in front of a Sear’s photo background or what?! That’s some green grass and blue sky going on there.
And of course that’s one cutie pie buns there! Awwww.
Methinks the bun does not approve of football.
The name of the film?
“Any Given Bunday.”
bunneh’s paws look like cookie dough
I *heart* bunny feetsies! No paw pads, all fluff!
Woohoo! Bunny paws! It doesn’t get much cuter than bunny paws to me.
This bunny does not approve of being thrown like a football.

You win! [hands you an internets]
That bunny looks terrified.
i love how his front paws are against his cheek.. like he’s saying “oh NO! woe is me”
No no no no. Don’t throw the bunny!
*cuddles the bunny and gives the bunny forehead kisses instead*
disapproving bun wonders why there is a hand on her bun.
If the handler keeps it up, the movie’s gonna be “Friday Night Bites”.
And the movie after that will be “Remember the Bitin’s”.
I don’t think the bunny disapproves. It looks more like he’s one of those football players who is really determined to beat the other teams’ butt…or bun…
In a cameo appearance, the bun will then star in “Necessary Puffness”.
For the love of all that is good, somebody stop me before I pun (or bun) again!
One-handed critters; cuteness in small packages. I’ve carried one or two animals ‘like a football’, but never quite so blatantly. tee hee
bdwilcox:
“Semi-Fluff” maybe?
Oh sure, he makes a good football *now* but don’t give him a bath! He’ll go from a football to a pfftball.
Oh my god that’s a cute bun!
Oh, and I just can’t wait for the fall so I can start watching Bunday Night Football again!

This gives a different definition to ‘watching the fur fly’.

“That’s quite enough fresh air, Jeeves. Return me to the Rolls, post-haste!”
The bunny seriously disapproved of the humor being enjoyed at his expense.
But he’s cute none-teh-less.
Katrina: Think of the ears. There’s possibilities for serious lift there. Tail drag may be needed just for stabilizing.
bdwilcox, J.Bo: Bunday Night Lights? Bunny’s Song? North Dallas Fluffy?
Chuck the bunny!
“Hey, put me down! Did Bugs Bunny start out like this?”
I think the folded up bodies just make them resemble babies in the fetal position.

MoooOOOO
Bok bok bok bok bok
(Anyone else seen those Easter egg commercials? No?)
Personally I prefer the Jeeves and Wooster line (from the show…not the books…as far as I’m aware)
“I’m going inside. All this fresh air is getting into my lungs.”
or something like that.
Now…put the bunbun down and give it a carrot.
Surfrock,
I recently saw the video and found it unspeakably appalling. I hope they find the soldiers who did it and kick them out.

good lord- i hope this is a football move, and not a baseball pitch- trying to bun-t him could end quite badly…
Silly people, this bun is not being thrown. She is the new king of the jungle, and being shown to her loyal subjects.
so sweet – looks like mine
“Kick the bun!”
“Don’t kick the bun!”
I can just see the little feetses quiver.
I furball, not futball!
Bendy bun. Love the feetsies.

I think the bun is sizing up the defense and is getting ready to call an audible.
Me thinks the bun is not too aerodynamic, given his fuzz.

Alexa, bunnies can’t puke, so you can imagine what they’d do instead… :-p
Peeps, do we really need more off-topic comments about soldiers who may or may not have abused dogs?
Thanks for understanding…
I’d say no, Theo, no, we don’t. I vote for more BUNS and less mentioning of bad things. or more KITTEHS. or HAMMYS. etc.
Well, if it makes people feel better, we also got guys like this [http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2006/05/iraqi_hedge.html ] over there too!
Dang this hypertext! Wish it took plain html commands!
[Fixed... just leave 1 white space at the end... - Ed.]
I love a good commenta-versy but lets just enjoy all the good QTE and bun tocks and always know is is OUR refuse from the mean nasty world.!!!!!!

LOL… I’m thinking that was supposed to be “refuge” and not “refuse”, right?
I attended Our Lady of Refuse– wait- that was supposed to be Refuge???
Most buns go into a kind of trance when turned onto their backs. It’s the only way to get my bunny’s nails clipped!
Love the other front paw peeking out underneath the back one.
It’s obviously a powderpuff game. And she looks determined, not scared or disapproving. She’ll show those guys.
Thumper!! I wonder if he’s twitterpated yet.
There seems to be some major disapproval going on here…major disapproval.
hey what breed is this bun? mine is the same and i don’t know what she is! she’s ‘dopted. tanx!
I think that’s a look of intense concentration:
“I… will… not… fall… over… backwards!”
That is some REDONK fluffballitude (and feets.)
SQUEE!
