Mee thinks little budgie is pressing his luck. Mr. Cattersons is mentally buttering him up as I type!

6 homer mariner 02.04.08 at 4:57 pm

Ouch! Looks like kitty is gonna lose a little nose! Serves it right for stickin’ its nose in the bird cage!

7 shandrewsca 02.04.08 at 4:58 pm

Looks to me like Birdie McBeakersons is giving kitteh a soft kronsche.

8 llism 02.04.08 at 5:04 pm

Cute! So are cat boogies dangerous to boids too? :-P

9 Leah B. 02.04.08 at 5:21 pm

12 cozytailmom 02.04.08 at 5:27 pm

I’ll let you taste me if I can taste you…. no bites.. I promise.

13 HRH 02.04.08 at 5:40 pm

Budgie: I nose where you bin (feeling safe & smug)

Puss: I nose where I’m goin next (paws at the ready to pounce & an evil glint in his eye)

Budgie: I nose what you nose, Buster (backs off & starts shakes his tail feathers)

14 ThreeCatNight 02.04.08 at 5:55 pm

Budgie: “I tawt I taw a puddy-tat. I did! I did see a puddy-tat, and there he is! And there’s his widdle nose. I think I’ll give it a widdle peck.”

Kitteh: “Actually, that feels quite good. Do it again, bird, do it again!”

15 Melinda 02.04.08 at 6:01 pm

Ewww! Cat boogers!

19 Theresa 02.04.08 at 6:22 pm

She’s being groomed for success!

20 Fegli 02.04.08 at 6:43 pm

February must be boid/kitteh love month. Works for me!

21 Aoife 02.04.08 at 6:48 pm

You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose. Or can you?

22 Kirby 02.04.08 at 6:51 pm

Budgies REPRESENT!!! It’s good to see more of them here over the past week. We should have a Keet Week… but that would be too short. :8>

23 mlle_x 02.04.08 at 7:02 pm

Awwwww! No one believes me when I tell them my keet Otter grooms kitteh Harper, Duchess of West Hollywood… but it’s TWUE, I swears! Yay keet kitteh love, the love that dares speak its name!

24 berthaslave 02.04.08 at 7:23 pm

Interspecies Snorgling? Nom nom nom nom nom.

Also, perhaps “Conjugal Visit?”

Very pretty colors on kitteh.

25 Robin 02.04.08 at 7:26 pm

anuzzer budgie and kitty love affair! ♥

26 revolution724 02.04.08 at 7:47 pm

Hehe – this isn’t meant as a nuff, just an FYI. Kitties with those patchy colors (i.e. calicoes and tortoiseshells) are female 99.8% of the time! The only way that Kitty could be a boy is if he had XXY chromosomes instead of XX or XY, which only happens in about 1 in 500 births; even then, he would be intersexed and not really “male.” So.. it’s fairly safe to assume that this pretty kitty is in fact a “she” and not a “he.”

27 ebee 02.04.08 at 8:14 pm

Budgie says “Kitteh has a flavr! Nom nom nom…”

28 kayte 02.04.08 at 8:59 pm

McCatterson thought she had found true love through the Internet site. They chatted and found they had so much in common. He sent photos and the bird in the photo looked so, um, tasty-with subtle blue stripes and black, beady little eyes. Then McCattersons found out the tragic truth….the bird she loved was behind bars for life. She knew she had to do something, even if it wasn’t legal… (to be continued)

29 secretlyindian 02.04.08 at 9:45 pm

LOL, kayte!

30 lola 02.04.08 at 10:41 pm

I’m thinking there should be an “I shall eet you” category for this one.

The look on the kitty’s face is priceless.

Revolution:

It’d be cool if it were a female, though. Evidently male torties are a form of chimerism. Which is pretty cool, unless a DNA test says your child isn’t yours because you have multiple DNAs in your person and they got the wrong one.

32 butter 02.04.08 at 10:56 pm

Er, that’s supposed to be male, not female. :/

33 Mary (the first) 02.04.08 at 11:02 pm

Butter: I saw a really cool show on TV..learning channel? discovery? I don’t remember, on Chimerism. Fascinating and .. “who knew!?” that such a thing happened.

As for boid and kitteh, very sweet and I’m sure they love each other and no one is thinking of eating the other.

34 Edward 02.04.08 at 11:15 pm

It’s a great picture, but anyone who’s had a nip from a Budgie will tell you they also like to bite, hard. I believe this is because they think it terribly funny.

35 rabble 02.04.08 at 11:20 pm

super cute! i heart them :)

speaking of sex: hey budgie peeps, is the keet a girl too? or a teenage boy?

36 Kirby 02.04.08 at 11:45 pm

It’s too young to tell if it’s a girl or a boy budgie. It still has stripes on its forehead, so it’s less than 4-6 months old and before the cere (nose) changes to its true color.

37 butter 02.04.08 at 11:46 pm

I know exactly what you’re taling about, Mary. It was pretty awesome. Although, I have to say, that episode was more entertaining. ;)

38 butter 02.04.08 at 11:46 pm

Durnit, I mean “that episode of House.” Jeeze, I’m batting a thousand today, aren’t I?

39 jennifer hydock 02.05.08 at 1:28 am

Too cute! The cat is so tolerable of the biting birdy.

40 NotSupposedToBeDoingThisATWork(ButNowI'mHome) 02.05.08 at 2:33 am

Edward, tee hee! I think I agree with you… they have an odd sense of humor, those little birds.

41 Kimski 02.05.08 at 3:36 am

I believe in the love, not the eating! : )

42 kawaii 02.05.08 at 6:53 am

pwahahah. oh my gawd, that dialogue is HILARIOUS!

it looks more like birdie is trying to bite kitty’s nose off! hahaah

43 michelle 02.05.08 at 4:12 pm

revolution: The post never specifies either animal’s sex… The breadwinner isn’t always a guy, yknow!

44 Theo 02.05.08 at 5:12 pm

…or the “seedwinner”, eh?

45 Hon Glad 02.05.08 at 5:32 pm

Will you come into my parlour said the Kitty to the boid.

46 revolution724 02.05.08 at 7:05 pm

Michelle: No, you’re right, the post didn’t specify. Some of the commenters referred to the kitty as “he,” or “Mr,” though, so that’s why I made the note about the cat’s sex.

47 crazyauntvicki 02.05.08 at 7:20 pm

I think kittie has a dangerous look on her face. Hope they really lub each udder.

48 Xhrixxy 02.05.08 at 10:27 pm

You can pick your friends & your can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose… until now!

49 rabble 02.05.08 at 11:07 pm

Thanks Kirby :)

i loves me teh boydies, but i still haz trouble telling the age/sex of most domestic ones. now if we were talking rodents…

50 woohoo! 02.06.08 at 5:51 am

Kitteh’s eyes are WAY too slitty for her intentions to be honorable.

51 Lil 02.06.08 at 6:59 am

uuummm, I dont wanna see the next photo of what happened…

52 Subhangi 02.06.08 at 3:49 pm

AHA! Now I know who modeled for those Sylvester and Tweety cartoons…

53 Holly Wise 02.06.08 at 7:20 pm

This picture is quite unique! No cat that I know will let a bird near its nose!
