what a beautiful dawgie:)

7 Megan 01.04.08 at 4:18 pm

omg this dog is super cute… i just love its eyes…. my dog is just fat and lazy.. wouldn’t expect something like that from a German Shepard but oh well lol..

8 llism 01.04.08 at 4:19 pm

Italian Greyhound! My sister has one, and they always have that worried look on their faces. They’re sweet, but boy can they be neurotic.

9 wee_squirrel 01.04.08 at 4:26 pm

I call shenanagins! His ear-to-head ratio has been artificially enhanced. (or can you just not see them?) Either way, I want to kiss him to make it better *mwah!*

10 Theresa 01.04.08 at 4:29 pm

These are very sweet dogs. A neighbor has two, and they are just delightful.

11 Theresa 01.04.08 at 4:32 pm

PS, I should mention that they sleep in the most obSEEN posishuns.

12 Terri 01.04.08 at 5:02 pm

An IGGY! I’m owned by two and they have the sweetest faces and are the best snugglers!

13 Paunchie 01.04.08 at 5:05 pm

geez what a beautiful doggie

14 Michele 01.04.08 at 5:21 pm

LOOOOOOVE! Megan- I have a GS too. He is only active when there is a food motivation. Just like his mama. :)

15 garlicknots 01.04.08 at 5:23 pm

this is the EXACT face my dog makes when I ask her if she wants to take a bath! She gets this shameful look that is way too adorable.

16 kar 01.04.08 at 5:37 pm

Is that an Italian Greyhound or a Whippet? I was thinking whippet given his proportions.

17 Gillian 01.04.08 at 5:55 pm

Totally an IG.

:) I have a 14-year-old.

They are the sweetest, lovingest snuggliest doggies.

Bambi has dainty expressive eyebrow — uh — pants, too. :D

18 Jacquie 01.04.08 at 6:03 pm

Awwwww…poor baby looks so wooooooreeeeeed!

19 liz 01.04.08 at 6:18 pm

the ears are pulled back severely to enhance the
concerned/worried look on her face she looks so delicate, like she needs a sweater and a hot water bottle. (and a hug)

20 Alison 01.04.08 at 6:20 pm

Greyhound/whippet/iggy noses = ripe for leeeerve.

They’re so neurotic, bony, and redonk…my old, old greyhound just hid her head in my armpit to avoid hearing the storming weather outside.

21 Mary (the first) 01.04.08 at 6:28 pm

She’s very beautiful, I hope you IG people can reassure me that the thinness is normal for her? She looks so frail.. but maybe that’s their normal size? (not wanting to be a nuff. I’m sure if this is not normal, it’s the “before” of a dog who’s been rescued and is now being fed.. if needed.)

22 liz 01.04.08 at 6:33 pm

actually she looks in incredible shape.
shes perfect for her breed.

23 Mary (the first) 01.04.08 at 6:35 pm

good.. thanks.. I should have known there would not be a sick dog posted.. she is truly gorgeous. And the “baroo” is classic!!

24 HonorH 01.04.08 at 6:45 pm

Mary, never fear–she looks like she’s in great shape for her breed. Look at her shoulders and all the meat on them. Dogs of the greyhound variety always look that thin, but they’re plenty strong. And she is a beauty!

25 aurora 01.04.08 at 6:50 pm

oh calm down dearie
shes looks fiiiiiiiiiiine.

what a gorgeous dog!! i can tewtelly see that barroo.
you can just picture its little lips all like
“what ARE you on about this time?”

xx :)

26 Mary (the first) 01.04.08 at 6:53 pm

I just thought of a new term.. similar to “muzzlepuff”.. here it is:
BAROOBROWS !!
what do you think, peeps? a new term?? This little girl is the poster child of baroobrows!!

27 GreenEyedHawk 01.04.08 at 7:12 pm

Awww italian greyhound! I love their worried little faces and their soft ears and their dainty lil feet!

28 Rocknrope 01.04.08 at 7:22 pm

As Felix and Oscar once said when Oscar won a greyhound and wants to race him:

Oscar: Look at him!
Felix: Ohhh, look at him….
Oscar: Look at those legs! (excited)
Felix: Look at those ribs! (sad)

29 berthaslave 01.04.08 at 7:37 pm

Double-barrelled baroobrows!

And what the heck are “eyebrow pants?”

[Tsk... and you portray yourself as a knowledgeable pr0n fan! - Ed.]

30 vlohma 01.04.08 at 7:54 pm

I do love the look of shy eagerness in that dog. “I know you love me, but I could really use a little pat on the head right now.”

31 Kiragirl 01.04.08 at 8:14 pm

she’s in a perpetual state of “baroo?”

32 liz 01.04.08 at 8:33 pm

berthaslave-
i am also trying to figure out what “eyebrow pants” means. perhaps another COL reg. and clue us in??

33 berthaslave 01.04.08 at 8:38 pm

I’m pretty sure anything with “pants” is just a Meg-ism. Like “enhance pants” a couple of months ago, or like you might call someone “Miss Fussy Pants” or “Mr. Prissy Pants.”

Or else, as Teho indicates, it’s an obscure pr0n term (though it’d have to be pretty obscure for me to not have heard about it from my college students).

34 Michelle 01.04.08 at 8:41 pm

What a beautiful dog. Such an expressive face.

35 Kiragirl 01.04.08 at 9:13 pm

is that like “egg pants”?

36 Lisa 01.04.08 at 9:23 pm

She is beautiful, and I have heard they make wonderful pets, but I could NOT take the guilt trip that little face would give me every single day. Even if I had done absolutely nothing wrong (no baths, plenty of treats, all snow cleaned off sidewalk before walkies, etc.), I would still feel the horrible weight of her disappointment. I better stick with a dog that thinks everything I do is wonderful.

37 Theo 01.04.08 at 9:25 pm

BerthaS — just yankin ya chain. Ain’t no thing.

No, I don’t really talk that way either.

38 Sheenanana 01.04.08 at 9:38 pm

Awww. Say g’night, Gracie!
I want to pet that dog soooo badly.

39 berthaslave 01.04.08 at 10:18 pm

Thanks Teho (though I was pretty sure I knew you were jokin’). :: guy fist bump ::

40 Pliny 01.04.08 at 11:59 pm

She reminds me of a runway model, especially with those Twiggy doe-eyes.

41 claire 01.05.08 at 12:52 am

Omfg! She’s adorable!

42 Leilani 01.05.08 at 1:15 am

The poor little doggie looks C-O-L-D! Give her a sweater, someone!

43 Nanette 01.05.08 at 2:44 am

OK, how do you pronounce Heylerhe?

44 chet's momma 01.05.08 at 2:48 am

“respectively” haha snort!

45 A 01.05.08 at 3:01 am

A dignified pose. Enough said.

46 bumptious 01.05.08 at 3:12 am

she looks just like adrian brody. and i’m in LOVE with adrian brody! pretty pretty doggy.

47 gillian 01.05.08 at 3:23 am

GreenEyedHawk,

You hit the nail on the head about the softness of the ears.

I think my Italian Greyhound’s ears are my very favorite part of her. Sooooo soft.

Bambi makes that face when I ask her if she wants to wear her giraffe costume. :D

48 greenighs 01.05.08 at 3:24 am

You know, she’s right about the respective baroos.

49 gail 01.05.08 at 4:22 am

That sweetie needs a trip to the spa and some aromatherapy to relax!!

Lisa–I’m with you, I’d need some kinda anti-anxiety pill to deal with that look! :D

50 Subhangi 01.05.08 at 2:45 pm

Awwwww. I lub those sad eyes!!!

51 Theresa 01.05.08 at 3:43 pm

“Heylerhe” rhymes with “Nyerhe”!

52 Amy 01.05.08 at 4:14 pm

Thats BAROOOOOO to the Nth degree. What a sweetie… That puppeh needs a hug

53 Sniper 01.05.08 at 4:23 pm

An IGGIE! I haz one.

This is how they’ve supposed to look – fragile and delicate until you seem them run. They are the sweetest, most gentle dogs ever. Mine jumps into my arms when I come home and sits on my lap while I read.

54 Sky 01.05.08 at 5:12 pm

Have we found a girlfriend for Rufees?

Has she read this fab interview he granted CO a while ago?
