I had to go check out the kitteh’s flickr pics. Some of ‘em show the normal pink nose we’d expect.
He’s apparently a Norwegian Forest Cat. I know nada about them. I know there are certain breeds of dogs that “blush” so maybe cats can too?
Either way, if the pink is enhanced or not, he is prosh. Lookit those enormous feets!! Eeep!

Whether or not the pads are enhanced “EXTRA COLOR” (hugs to all who get the reference), I’m entranced by the floofy head fuzz! That is one kitty that is just begging for a face rub/snorgle…

I dunno you guys, when my kittehs get hot & sweaty their jelly beanz can get vewwy deep pink as well, almost like this bebeh’s. Nosicles too! I think a 24 hour snorgle test is in order to check for sweaty pawsitude. I’ll bring him back tomorrow. Promise!

I knew he had to be a Norwegian cat- he’s laying inside one half of a traditional giant paper mache Easter egg. The one I got for Easter only had chocolate and marzipan. I got cheated!!
I use Photoshop on photographs all the time to make them prettier: better color, more vivid, etc. Nearly all photographers do this, and it’s done for every single commercially produced shot you will ever see. If his beans were made pinker, I don’t have a problem with that. I personally prefer minimal changes (I don’t change eye color or expression but I’ll remove goop around the eyes, for instance). Anyway whether totally natural or not, this kitteh is eatable. I shall bake him into a pie. xoxoxo

I must be getting old. 1) I did not for a second think the photo was shopped because that seems dishonest (and so much work, isn’t it?) 2) I know who Jimmy Kimmel is but I don’t know how this refers to him. 3) I know that the hovertext refers to an old slogan for 7-Up but don’t get what it has to do with the photo. 4) The funniest comment was Aubrey’s — isn’t it good?
Still, the cat is anerable (I dreamed I had got a new kitteh last night!).

Regarding the enhances color… hehehe you are all so into your digital cameras and who wouldn’t be but a more simple way to enhance would be to use a filter on the camera lense and thats what it looks like to me… A filter was used to enhance the orange of the fur and in the process it added a bit more pink to ears, paws and nose .. Well I am not sure but it really looks like a filter was used.
Also regarding the 7up commercial I loved that commercial.. he was so cool..
And really that kitty exudes crisp and clean.
Goes over and sits in my own rocking chair, cause I remember when you used filters on cameras to enhance photos and not fancy computer software.
Annie – true re filters, but there was quite a lot of editing done in the darkroom. Many Photoshop effects are replicating what used to be done by hand by touch-up artists. Dodge, burn, sharpen, blur, airbrushing, color-correction, and many more, all used to be done by hand. It’s only the method that is different now.
This particular kitteh has the filter of CUTE on him!

I dunno, I had a kitteh with pink feet n nose and after tearing around the house he would flop onto whatever he decided was comfortable and gaze at me contentedly. His nose and feet would be a bright, deep, glorious pink.
BTW–Anyone with MS picture editor can click on autocorrect and get wierd colors. That’s why good ‘shoppage is not something to be snarked at. You think the Nat Geo photos are shot so perfectly that they’re not enhanced–hmmm? Ya gotta start somewhere peeps, and if it’s color enhancing your kitteh’s feets, go for it.

MEow House as I have done both I understand what you are saying also have a Father in Law who makes some of the most beautiful pictures and he is an amateur Photographer. One of his favorite tricks is reflecting this golden light on a subject to enhance the colors. His tool, is one of those window shades you put to keep the sun off your front seat. makes reds really brilliant and oranges too.
Most pictures get enhanced one way or another. BE it when you take them into the lab to get printed or by doing it your self on your computer.
