No, no, bad Leah! You do not say the f-word on this site! *snerk*
Hey, is it just me, or does the “The More You Know” logo remind anyone else of “Reading Rainbow?” Everytime I see it, I remember part of the theme song to that show. Yuck, earworms.
Yeah, I’m thinking early on the middle pup is all “Who are these whiny brats and why did you bring them home?” and by the end he is all “These guys, these guys HERE are my #1 best buddies ever!” And then they all go play together in the grass.
Please note that as wee lil guys, the pups are leaning on the big guy in the middle, the one in control. By the final pic, he’s leaning on the specimen to his left. It’s like one big snorgle fest. And HOLY COW those are beautiful dogs.
Are you trying to tell me those are the *same* 3 dogs?? and no special effects?? I sure hope the middle one was nice to her big/little brothers while they were still little!! (Kind of like.. be good to your kids.. they’ll be the ones to pick your old folks home!)
They aren’t huskies, they’re Alaskan Malamutes. And they do grow from lil’ tiny furballs to BIG, BIG dogs. They are very territorial and probably very protective of their little brother or sister!
too cute, I luv the way he gets happier as they get bigger. Maybe he felt he had to watch out for them when they were little and now that they’re grownup he’s all relaxed.
brown pup’s expression changes from 1) worried about how to raise these monsters 2) careful to keep an eye on them as they may be overconfident 3) trusting them to behave 4) enjoying the goofy “teenage”ness to 5) delighted they grew up so big and handsome and strong! Wonderful big brother/sister. And yes thank you “so moishe” to the owner who had enough presence of mind to take the photos!!
soooooo, am I the only moron who looked quickly at the pics and didn’t realize till the very very end that it was a succession of pics of the same pups? Derrrr.
Did anyone else observed that in the first picture, the pupe are too small to wear harnesses. In the second, they each have a harness that looks waaaaay too big. They fit well in the third picture but are waaaaaaay too small in the fourth. And in the final picture, like the first, no harness at all due to size. Interesting– makes me want to do that with a puppy.
I had a small kitteh named BooBoo in the ’70s and when one of my roomies got a lab puppeh, BooBoo bossed it around and tormented it unmercifully. When he grew to about 60 pounds or more, he was STILL terrified and subservient to the 6-pound cat (as it should be, of course!) Wonder if middle dog still rules the roost?
These are adorable pics. Reminds me of Max, may he Reat In Peace, our Golden retriever, purchased when my youngest kid was 2. We got Max as a rolio polio puppy who was smaller than Steve. He rapidly grew larger than Steve, who rapidly got more nervous of the giant DOG as opposed to the cute little puppy. Alas, I have no pictures of Max & Steve together, but it was a very similar transition to these pics!
these pictures are priceless and i think the spaniel in the middle is glad to have the bodyguards in the last pic. surely there should be more than 58 (now my 59th) comment(s)!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY WHAT A BIG SANDWICH CUTE TOO
I bet brown middle pup looked back at the pictures and said in a very blessed voice: My, how they’ve grown.

Yikes, the f-word *and* shouting! And, Brinnann, how COULD you get the Reading Rainbow song stuck in my head? Have you no sense of decency?
If I have to suffer, why should I suffer alone?
*hums the tune to Reading Rainbow*
Ah, Mrs. Cory, a story for you…your daughters were shorter than you…but they grew!
-Bert
Please place a copper in Bert’s hat, kthxbai!
i can haz sandweeche?
the spaniel looks happier the bigger they get…MAYBE he’s just getting smaller!
sorry peeps
walks away from puter head low
Adorables!
Leah, I didn’t see any naughty words. Looks like (Ed.) may have fixed things up for ya.
It was only a naughty word if you think the word that comes between “zeroeth” and “second” is naughty.
Butterfly in the skyyyy…I can fly twice as hiiiiigh….
[actually, "zeroeth" is the "naught"ier word, if you want to split hairs... - Ed.]

What a freakin’ awesome series of pics! “I used to be big dog around these parts…”
And for the record…
Matchingks!
middle dog is prolly still thinking “I’se the biggest dog. I’se all in charge here.”
OHMIGODOHMIGODOHMIGOD!!! KISCA PUPS!!! SQUEEEEE!!!! Oh, and the pup in the middle’s cute, too!!!

Holy shrinking puppeh, Batman!
I’d love to have a pair of huskies!!
so i wonder if the middle fella knows the others got bigger of if he is wondering if he is shrinking. osteopuposis!!
great pics.
“Naught”ier. [Ed.], you kill me.
They are the same pups! Cause if you look at the shadings on their nosies…it’s the same throughout…but i think the huskies change sides a few times.
They aren’t huskies, they’re Alaskan Malamutes. And they do grow from lil’ tiny furballs to BIG, BIG dogs. They are very territorial and probably very protective of their little brother or sister!
i’ll bet that spaniel has those puppehs trained “just exactly like he likes em”
so cute!
Yes, mighty Malamutes. Wonderful dogs, enormous furballs who like to run around, dig, and talk quite a bit. Woo-woo!
Spaniel trained those giant dawgs well when they were puppehs, I’m sure.
Kudos to their person for thinking to take these photos!

LOL I am soooo Slow in the brain today I was thinking the F word was the other F word. Until Hey-H and Teho brought up the Naught’ier discussion.
oh and those pictures are tewtally ; )awesome.
Personal fav. Love, love, love the site but the pooches don’t always get as many posts as they deserve. Well done, Miss Meggers!
Metsie, he’s only relaxed until they start coming in at 4 in the morning.
I’ll bet in the last two pics he was all “Look at these dudes! I knowed them since they was knee high to a grasshopper!”

super cool set, btw

You can imagine the accompanying chart showing their grocery bills.
Bwahahaha! These pictures are too cute. And the f-word…First???? Oops. I have a dirty mind, I guess.
I can just see that spaniel cruising the neighborhood with his posse, looking to start some trouble with the local bullys.
“Hey, bud! You looking for trouble? Well talk to these guys.”
Heh. It’s like he grew his own bodyguards.
That picture reminds me of the families that I’ve seen where tiny little ladies have tall and stocky sons (and later grandsons).
Too hilarious. I laughed and laughed and came back for more.
What a beautiful family.

aww, this is wonderful!
Why is the spaniel’s ear fur very thin in the second to last picture? Is it really the same dog? or did the owner shave his dog?
AAAAAAAGH!!! ALASKAN MALAMUTES! I wub malamutes!
*dies*
nah i think the spaniel just gets smaller that’s all haha
See my boys growed up good.
*squee*
Mals!
I miss my Mals!!!
I liked the puppehs when the were floofy and smaller than the brown one.
They kinda looked like black ‘n white cotton balls kthnx.

An e-mail with these photos got passed around my workplace last month with a caption that said, “Watch out – you may not always be the big dog.”
Was that a Strangers with Candy reference? If it was, I love this site even more.
Laura – looks to me like the ear-fur is intact. I think it’s just the lighting and tint of the picture making it look pinkish like that.
Bahaha! I sent this in and it got posted! woot!
FAKE
[FAIL - Ed.]
I love the way the two malamutes just get bigger–and bigger–and bigger–and bigger!
These shots remind me of the old Ogden Nash poem “Two Dogs Have I”: ‘The new little dog got bigger/ and the old little dog got mad’.
these pictures are priceless and i think the spaniel in the middle is glad to have the bodyguards in the last pic. surely there should be more than 58 (now my 59th) comment(s)!!!!!
I want those Malamutes for my very own – two woo woo’s, who could ask for anything more!
what wonderful looking dogs all 3
