Can we PLEASE make “nomnomnom” a category (or “nawm nawm nawm” if you prefer)? It’s my favorite CO phrase (besides kronsche and snorgle and leeck).

That kitteh is corny as Kansas in August, I tell ya what.

  7. luna712 says:

  8. Willow says:

You did WHAT with my corn?

  9. crackjob says:

I see that this little Japanese kitteh has another video
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC58wgPYU_I
where she’s eating nori (seaweed)–a personal fave of my kitteh–but it’s not as fun because the videographer keeps teasing her with the sheet of nori rather than letting her chomp/nawm/nom/cronche it. Let kitteh eat nori!!!

  11. Meghan says:

My corms. Let me show you them.

  12. TexIrishRose says:

GAH! The kronsched-up nose! I thought my kitteh was the only one who did that…. too kewt!

  16. tablemountaingirl says:

Who knew kittehs could be so enthralled by corn? I have seen them lick lick lick lick lick lick butter before…lick lick lick, but never corn.

    :-)

  17. Manda Bain says:

Good roughage for teh kitteh. She’s gonna need a toothpick…
This makes me think of the Corn Game that we would play with the youth I chaperoned from my church when everybody had corn at dinner on trips. Whoever counted the most corn in their poos later won (you were on the honor system…it was church after all) ;-)
    Me? I never played.

  18. Mrs. Catlabash says:

This is a riot! Go slow at 0:05 to see kitteh’s fat little cheek positively soaked in buttah. Nawm nawm drip drip nawm drip nawm shluuurp. Yum!

  19. Isn’t that a repost from earlier?

  20. Mary (the first) says:

omg that smudge on her cheek *is* buttere!! I hope she has a little friend to leeeeck it off, it will be hard for her to reach her own muzzlepousche area… very cute, I must say. Veggie loving kittehs are too much.

  21. Annie says:

    Crunchity Nom Nom nom
    and the wiskerage too.

  22. sandy says:

cute video, after watching that go five videos over to the kitten in the blue box. it’s waaaaaay to cute!

  23. BlueCat says:

My tabby, Radar, loves him some corn. He’s never had it straight from the cob, dripping with buttah though. Most corn is so sweet you might as well feed them candy. Which he would also eat. And salt and vinegar potato chips. And corn chips with salsa.

  24. bdwilcox says:

Contrary to what most people would think, cats in the wild will eat fruits, vegetables, and grasses to supplement their diets. They also eat the stomachs of their prey, usually herbivores, to get at the partially digested vegetable matter.

This behavior give them essential nutrients like Omega3 fatty acids and helps them shed intestinal parasites (usually worms) which is why cats so often eat grass and other sharp bladed plants. (Cats, dogs and most animals, produce enough Vitamin C in their bodies to sustain them, but they usually try to supplement more through their diet).

  32. cerise says:

    my cat likes canned corn

  33. Sammys Mom >^..^ says:

    Sweet & Salty yum :D

  34. Barbarella says:

One of my cats loves canned sweetcorn too… and he eats it off my pizza. :)

  35. Sammys Mom >^..^ says:

    Squeeeeeeeeeee!

*clears throat* But on a more serious note: For anyone who wants to know, please be careful with feeding corn to your pet (cat or dog). It is usually the main food allergy culprit for continuous itching & scratching and constant skin biting/licking. In fact, check their kibble bag’s ingredient list and see if corn meal (or a variation of it) is listed near the top. Unfortunately, this affects a lot of poor, unsuspecting wittle house-kittehs and puppehs :(

Yep,sorry to break it to ya’s, but it does make for extreeeeeeeemly cute footage!

  36. Ninjin says:

    Nom nom nom nom.

  37. chanpon says:

Hey, isn’t this the original nom nom kitty?

  38. LuvBJones says:

Dat is teh peenkeest noze I ever seen…

    *collapse*

  39. stephie says:

ewwww! did you just say off your pizza? what?

  40. Lone says:

A variant of peanut butter on a cheeseburger…(makes me weep with sorrow).

Cat teeth + corn nom = fail.

  41. jen says:

awwww. i had a cat who loved corn. she would only eat fresh corn, but it had to be removed from the cob. nom nom nom indeed!

  42. CheshireCat says:

My kitteh nawms corn too, but he usually takes it buttered and in a kitty-sized bowl, I wonder if he’d lower himself to eating it right off the cob?

  43. Kim says:

That is going to be one messy litterbox to clean up the day after that meal.

  44. Theresa says:

My nephew this morning forbade me from saying “nom nom nom.” What nerve!

  45. Subhangi says:

    Mmmm… corn.

  46. warrior rabbit says:

    Hey Stephie,

You’ll probably freak at this, but one of the best pizza toppings I ever had was corn and tuna fish (in Germany). I am an adventurous eater, and the risk-taking is often rewarded. This was one of those times. No, really. Sounds weird, tastes great.

  47. darkshines says:

Its not the corn on the pizza thats freaking us out, its the fact that you allow the cat to eat from the same pizza you are eating. Cats lick their butts, eat their own puke and roadkill, I would keep that mouth well away from my food!

  48. Mina says:

Thats cute. My cat Lacey (RIP)..loved corn. Unfortunately, its not highly digestible as pet food manufacturers would like us to believe. As an occasional snacky, it wouldnt harm kitty, but its not good for their tummies. Pet foods like Iams, Purina, Pedigree, Beneful, Ol’ Roy, are extremely bad for pets because they are so devoid of actual meat. Follow the links on my personal website or google “the truth about pet food”.

  49. Furbabies says:

What a good kitty, eating your vegables. Be sure to floss after corns ’cause stuff gets stuck in you toofs.
