Ah, I LOVE the fennec foxes! I just saw a documentary on the Discover Channel (I think…) which mentioned them, and it says that their ears are so big mainly because they live in the desert and they use those ears to cool off — they can’t afford to sweat much, with water so scarce, but what happens is their blood circulates through the many capillaries in those big ears and cools down a bit in the process, then recirculates back into the rest of the body and cools it down. Nifty, eh? Oh, and secondarily they’ve got GREAT hearing, lol, as one might imagine.
And they are ADORABLE!!!!

I love Fennecs. I made a diorama of a Fennec in its natural habitat in 2nd grade.
I would be a huge HUGE imposition on my life *sigh* but if the CO needs a traveling Qteologist. I will volunteer *sigh* to do it. *sigh* I mean… it will really, REALLY bother me to travel around, looking at, petting, snorgling, and huffing kittens, puppehs, foxes, beluga whales etc. *sigh*
