Vulnerable areas + privacy tail

I love it when kittehs use their tails for privacy, by covering up their parts.

This little guy is so prosh, he’s all owning you with his 70’s carpet wriggle action

Looks muy soft, Alexis P. [head tilt]

  1. This looks like a Calvin and Hobbes dance to me… if Calvin and Hobbes had been one composite character.

  2. Yitzysmommie says:

OOO, I get to say how cute this adorable kitten is before anyone else!
    The carpet, not so cute.

  3. Shortmama65 says:

    So cute. needs cuddles.

  4. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I want to pick up the kitty and kiss its tummy.

  5. Pearl Ostroff says:

Adorable. If I am not mistaken this charming babe is a little girl.

  6. PRECIOUS! And she looks like she’s holding an imaginary basketball, lol.

  7. Animalphiles Annie says:

Threadjack – I had to get an MRI yesterday for a neck injury – and everyone kept asking if I was claustrophobic and assured them whole-heartedly I was not. Uh, at least not until they rolled me inside that thing and the noises started. Had a mild panic attack – then thought – go to your happy place – think of all the adorable pix and vids you’ve seen on CO – I scrolled through them in my mind and ended up with a smile on my face. So, thanks CO for pulling me through!!!
    (end threadjack)

  8. isn’t that MODESTY tail???

  9. Tummy rub time! (gives kitty a virtual rub with mouse pointer)

  10. That belleh is just too perf for snorgles. It MUST be some kind of trap.

Oh well *snorgles kitteh, and is promptly strung up by the ankle al la Wile E Coyote*

  11. Belleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!! Oh precious kitten, why can’t you be mine?

  12. I love me some kitteh. Get in my belleh!

  13. The cat is in fact a girl. All calico cats are female unless it is an XXY male cat, which would make it a very special kitteh.

the traits for the three colors have something to do with a Barr body. I wasn’t paying attention that day, and sadly, missed the question on the exam….

  14. Nicolletta says:

  15. Hars1: It’s because the gene for orange fur and the gene for black fur are both attached to the X chromosome. They’d have to have an extra X chromosome to be both colors, one with orange attached and one with black, which, as you said, is very rare (and would also make them sterile, I believe).

  16. OK, but that’s not a calico. I think it may be a snowshoe siamese, though. But really not a calico.

  17. I remember a few years ago (okay like 12) NIU had an add in the paper. If you could bring them a male calico cat they would give you 100,000 dollars. The add ran for 4 years and not one male calico cat was turned in. (Mind you this was not turned in for scientific research or anything, just so they could take a blood sample and a picture) The add ran all over Illinois.

Anyhoo…cute kitty I want to stick my face in her tummy and make rasberry noises…and then get the band aids to fix my face from little kitty claws and teef!

  18. Grr…ad in the paper not add

  19. FyreKnight says:

I don’t think this is calico, but rather a snow shoe siamiese. They have white points over the typical brown markings of a siamese.

  20. Awwww! Looks like someone wants a hug!!!

  21. Andrea|Nash says:

What a cozy place this sweet little pussy lives in … I hope she may always take it for granted.

  22. *plbbbb* Raspberry on the fuzzy tummy!!

  23. Ballet kitty does high fifth.

  24. It could be a calico. My cat is a calico, but her entire belleh is allllllll white, just like this kitteh.

However, I could be wrong. wouldn’t be the first time

  25. acelightning says:

Now that is one HAPPY little kitty! What a darling!

  26. *avoiding the rawhide commentversy I just KNOW is going on downstairs*

Does anyone else use their mouse to scratch bellies on pics like this – or is just me?

  27. NM – just noticed Caroline’s comment……back to my own little world I go.

  28. Whatever breed this darling is, its so very cute. My 21 year old might like to nurse if you need help..

  29. cat peeps. My 21 year old cat

  30. bookmonstercats says:

Love the rollover; LOVLI (as in Laughed Out Very Loud Indeed). I thought kitteh’s face looked too wide to be a siamese – their faces are usually wedges (I had one that wasn’t perfect, but her face was still narrower than an “average” cat’s). However, since I’ve never heard of a snowshoe siamese….

  31. Awwwwww. Kitty wanna huggy?

  32. dear cuteologists, i’ve been reading this blog for a long time but still don’t know what “prosh” really means. “moishe” and “muy” and “kronshe” etc. i can figure out, but… *blushes*

please help this non-native speaker, thanks so much! 🙂

    p.s. a cutespeak-decoder (dictionary thing) would be really great…

  33. hey anne: scroll up on your right under “more!” and you’ll see the Official CO Glossary. should do the tick…

  34. i mean trick, lol!

  35. oooh, i have been so blind! just been staring at all the cute critters in the content and ignoring the side bar! *blushes even more* 😀

    thanks for helping me out!!!

  36. My cat Trixie also has the irresistable belly fluff. But those who don’t know her beware. For it is really the white belly of doom.
I tell folks to pet/snorggle at their own risk because she only shows the white belly of doom when she is craving human flesh.

  37. Yep…not a calli. I have one… This one does not appear to have any orange. Probably some sort of seal point or such. Just as cute though…ummmm…errr….not as cute as you are, KitterKat… 🙂

  38. What a cute kitten! I love the little armpit indents best 🙂

P.s Glad you got through you test ok Annie x

  39. look on the upturned front paw. there are pieces of orange.

  40. circuscake says:

    isn’t that a yoga position?

  41. Momof2kitties says:

My calico (female!) also has the all white belleh of deth. Approach at your own risk. Sometimes it’s worth the bodily disfigurement to get that snorgle in, tho’! I hate when she does the rabbit kick on my face!

  42. Awww! I just want to pick him up and SMOOSH him.

  43. angrycupcake says:

the way the armpaws are held up…it looks like he/she has wings. Catwings was such a good book.
i don’t really care what breed the kitteh is, as long as this picture stays up.

  44. …and don’t forget her just-SPAYED Shaved-Bare-Belly Elegance!!!

  45. luvinmalssomuch says:

Growing up my parents had a carpet just like that except it was green.
Maybe if we had this cute lil kitty rolling on the floor it might have been considered attractive.

  46. this one made me SQUEEE! outloud….coworker just asked “What’s wrong??” heeheehee

  47. LinguaMorta says:

Dogs smile all the time, so it’s extra nice to see this kitty-smiley.
Animals really know how to relax!

    [here’s “Prosh”, by the way… – Ed.]
    [ ]

  48. Happy Toes!!

  49. i likes me some good ol’ fashioned cute in de mo’nin

  50. “Privacy tail” is the best. thing. ever.

  51. One of my cats like to take a similar position, but it is all a trap! If you try and rub or snorgle Artemis’ belly she will attack!

  52. Ex-Network Geek says:

Bookmonstercats – It might just be a cat with Siamese-type coloring but not actually a Siamese. I have two shelter kitties, sisters, and both have regular old generic round heads rather than the wedge. The rest of their body shape is also utterly un-Siamese-like, as is their fur texture. One of them is plain tabby but the other looked (if only in coloring) like a lynx-point snowshoe Siamese when she was a kitten.

Excuse me, I can’t reach through the screen, so I must go snorgle the nearest live fuzzy tummy.

  53. i thought everyone used the mouse-pointer for rubbin bellies and scritchin chins.
    Who wouldn’t ???
that’s one fun-belly right there. and the ‘modesty tail” priceless.

  54. berthaslave says:

kitteh looks like a southern baptist…

[it’s right outside your door – Ed.]

  55. Mary (the first) says:

Iwould like to bury my nose in her little armpit. Is that SO WRONG?

  56. Oh yeah, that looks like a trap. You get in all close for the snorgle, then suddenly you have a kitteh on your nose, and in not such a good way. I remember those sharp little bebeh teef, though I haven’t learned my lesson, because I’d stick my nose in that tummy for sure.

  57. bookmonstercats says:

ExNetwork Geek, your rescue kitties sound adorable. The siamese names nust be different over there, and so much better. “Lynx point” sounds great. Over here we just have plain old “seal-point” “lilac point” “blue point” (mine – she looked as though she was wearing silver grey evening gloves), tabby point and so on.

  58. That is one cute lil’ kitty! can i have him?

  59. Not to display a creepily detailed knowledge of kitty anatomy…but the relevant equipment to distinguish male from female isn’t visible at this angle.

I’m with those who think the tummy shave = spay = female, tho.

  60. Ex-Network Geek says:

I think lynx point is the same as tabby point. I never figured out if my cat would be “chocolate lynx point” or what. She just looks tabby now (cats with points darken with age – the color is temperature sensitive – they are born without points at all, and then develop dark hair in the cooler parts of their bodies — feet, tail, face, ears — and with age their circulation is less and they get dark even on the body).

Modesty tail kitty here looks like it would be a tortie point, if it really does have points. Too cute, no matter what color.

  61. Throw your paws in the air, and wave ’em like you just don’t care…

  62. AuntieMame says:

Berthaslave, I think you mean Pentecostal. Us Southern Baptists don’t raise our hands. 🙂

  63. Awww, but AuntieM, if she turned up at your church like this, you’d let her in.
    I know it.
Kitten is definitely some kind of seeker.

  64. Can I get a witness?!

  65. *KISS!*
