I think the pumpkin is fake–no cuts where the lid would come off. Kitty is real though, real tired.
I love how kitties ear perfectly fits in the pumpkins nose!
the pumpkin doesn’t have to be fake…when I carve pumpkins I cut the bottom off so it’s easier to put the candle in and light it…and you don’t see the cuts as easily. Cute kitty, though..I also love the ear-in-nose-action!!

I love Halloween! Keep the pumpkins and costumed critters coming! A few unusual/scary-but-cute animals would be nice, too. ^_^
Cutting the pumpkin from the bottom not only lets you hide the cuts, but it is way easier for ones that are being used for candles. Candle goes down and lit first, then the pumpkin goes over it, rather than trying to put a lit candle inside it, or lighting it while it is inside the pumpkin.
Definitely pumpkin (nap/sleep) time for this little kitteh!

I agree, pinkwerewolff, whether the pumpkin is real or not is completely unimportant. Discussing if it’s real or not is one thing, but acting like there’s something wrong with the picture if it’s not makes no sense. it’s cute either way (imo), and THAT’S what important. ^_^
BTW, how does a pink werewolff spend Halloween?

The cuts could be at the top…we really don’t have a good view of the top enough to tell. And that bottom cutting does sound like a good idea.

The Australian vet I took my cat Gladys too, always called her Pumpkin. Sigh she is no longer with me, nor is the vet at the practice.Och well.
The pumpkin could be cut from the back too (a pumpkin cat carrier?) and cleaned and dried well, it could work, and kitty is clearly very relaxed… you can’t force a cat to be comfortable, can you!
The photo isn’t fake, they used a “Funkin” instead of a pumpkin. BRILLIANT, really.

Of course the pumpkin is fake. However, that doesn’t make it any less cute. NO kitty is going to goo up his/her fur!!! However, the fake pumpkin makes a splendid place to nap…and the kitten is soooo cute and totally wiped out!
