1. There is a squished pup under Mama’s front leg. Cute.
2. There are at least 2 pups behind Mama’s back legs. Where could they possibly be nursing from back there? Still cute.
3. Someone should encourage Mama to roll over a little more to make more room for the puppers. They’re all hungree. Triple times cute.

Thanks Marishka…I kind of see it, but above the pink the puppeh just kind of disappears and I don’t quite see the upside-downness. But it don’t matter. It’s all prosh all the time anyways. Love the burrowing pups in the first pic!

Hai!! So, this is my sister-doggie Keisha here with her pupsicles. I should ‘splain, for the spay/neuter folks – as I am a FOIM BELEVAH in that, too!
My parental units adopted Keisha from a rescue – the rescue told them to get her spayed asap cos she just had a heat – so they took her to do that the day after they adopted her, and the vet said nononono, she has heartworm! AND he said she wasn’t pregnant. HUH. So he gave her the heartworm meds, and then they came back 3 weeks later and said, huh, she looks kinda pregnant – and the vet says nonononooo she’s not. Well. 2 weeks after THAT, they took her back and said, yeah, she looks REALLLY pregnant and the vet goes – OH! Yes she does. Takes an X-Ray and BOOM – 10 puppies. 10.
Soooo… we did the math – she got pregnant before she was even rescued. AND, to BOOT – when she was rescued, she still had pups with her from her LAST litter! This girl is a MACHINE! Needless to say, she is being spayed THEE moment she is able to be.
It’s her belly, Efron, not her back. She’s upside down.
I just want to dive face-first into that pile of pups. It’s been a long day.

What a GREAT story.. I mean… not only did the Parental Units get a gorgeous RESCUE dog, they RESCUTE the pupsidedownpuppies! Seriously.. there’s so much going on I don’t know where to start.

Jewel~ What a great rescue story! I volunteer at a shelter here in NH and we got some dogs from Katrina including one skinny skinny female who was treated for heartworm and then it was discovered that she was pregnant. The vet said the pups would probably be born dead because the heartworm treatment is basically poison-but she had a big litter of beautiful fat puppies just like yours!

She’s a “carolina dog” which is a north american DINGO…aka wild dog…the breed came here some 10,00 years ago with and when the native peoples came to this continent.
