Lovely!

And better than napping on a banana hammock…

3 Theo 08.02.07 at 4:51 pm

Wow, that’s the most dangerous-looking cuke I’ve ever seen. Step lightly, Mr. Frog…

4 blackcatgirl 08.02.07 at 4:52 pm

LauraK,I thought the same thing.

5 AuntieMame 08.02.07 at 4:54 pm

These are froggie’s salad days.

(LOL, LauraK! I was debating commenting about a banana hammock, but now I don’t have to!)

Mr Obvious better find somewhere else to dream of dressings, otherwise he might end up in someone elses salad. :S

Its great to be green,
On a cucumber hammock you can dream,
Your taking tea with the Queen,
as you take in the scene,
eating scones jam and cream.

I was just thinking about you and your family, Theo after seeing the news about the bridge collapse. I have lots of family and friends in MN. It’s funny how, when something like that happens, you worry until you hear from all your peeps even though the chances of it affecting them are less than 1 in a million.

I am assuming all your people are doing fine, since you are here.

10 Kelly Mc 08.02.07 at 5:01 pm

Oh yeah, cute froggy

I LURVE frogs! Seriously, I have some sort of weird addiction to them. I have 2 frog statues by my front door, along with a frog welcome mat. I have froggie pictures in my bathroom. I have.. ahem.. a froggy bathrobe.. it’s pathetic.

12 Mimi 08.02.07 at 5:03 pm

What a pretty shade of green!

13 Theo 08.02.07 at 5:08 pm

Kelly Mc — yes, thanks, we’re all fine. Still a bit stunned, of course.

14 Shannon Johnson 08.02.07 at 5:12 pm

Awww, little froggy

15 liz 08.02.07 at 5:14 pm

beautiful! we have a lil froggy like this living
around our pool.
anyone know the species?
ours is REALLY friendly!

16 Yitzysmommie 08.02.07 at 5:35 pm

LauraK – hehehe
This sheltered Utah Grandma did not understand the banana hammock ref until I Urban Dictionaried it…..
Loud snickers imagining my cuddly husband wearing one.

17 Subhangi 08.02.07 at 5:38 pm

Awwww.

But, is that a cucumber or a cactus?!

18 Heavenly 08.02.07 at 5:41 pm

Looks like a cactus to me. Be careful, little froggy!

19 skippy 08.02.07 at 5:44 pm

Yep, that is a cucumber. I’ve worked on a vegetable farm for many years and have picked more bushels of cukes than I care to remember. That looks like an Asian variety, delicious but spinier. Also “burpless”, and oft-requested by the elderly ladies shopping at farmers’ market.

But I’ve never seen a prosh froggie like this on any cuke I’ve ever picked! He must be quite petite.

20 caitlin black 08.02.07 at 6:19 pm

iv never seen a frog like that befor!!!

21 Brat 08.02.07 at 6:26 pm

And this is EXACTLY why you wash your fruits and vegetables before you eat them!

22 Pheas 08.02.07 at 6:27 pm

Careful, froggle, or you’ll wind up in a pickle!

(Well, SOMEbody was going to say it sooner or later.)

23 jen 08.02.07 at 6:46 pm

pheas – lol!

great spot for a squat. cute, cute froggeh.

24 acelightning 08.02.07 at 7:24 pm

I love how the spots on the froggie’s back sorta match the spines on the cuke. He looks pretty relaxed – I guess sometimes it *is* easy bein’ green!

25 Cute Obsessed 08.02.07 at 8:21 pm

I bet he won’t mind if there’s a fly in his salad!

26 Jennefer 08.02.07 at 8:36 pm

OMG frog yay! We need more frogs here. They’re like cowbells…

27 Billie C 08.02.07 at 9:02 pm

Those cukes are huge. I have more cucumbers than I can eat. I trellised them this year and they are really producing and YES he/she froggy is a little one, not much bigger than an inch and a half at best. I also have snakes in the garden so I hope the two don’t meet!!

28 Pheas 08.02.07 at 9:05 pm

Cute Obsessessed — unless he ordered the dozen-fly salad!

29 Aubrey 08.02.07 at 9:46 pm

Ranch dressing? I think Green Goddess would go with this picture so nicely…

30 Meg 08.02.07 at 9:58 pm

I don’t know why, but I have begun singing “Napping on a Cucumber Hammock” to the tune of “Tempted by the fruit of another.”

31 Sprinkles 08.02.07 at 10:24 pm

Gives a whole new meaning to just hangin’ out. ;)

32 Leilani 08.03.07 at 12:26 pm

Ok, no one said it, so I will: That froggy looks cool as a cucumber!

33 Candace 08.03.07 at 1:57 pm

I so want to dip that frog in ranch dressing. He looks delish.

34 Furbabies 08.03.07 at 4:20 pm

Cowbell? I got a fever …
It’s not easy being green!

35 Annie 08.05.07 at 1:13 am
