When I was a li’l kid, we had a Crazy Cat Lady who had about 50 Siamese, no foolin’. My mom, an artist, went to visit her once to do some drawings of her cats, and I went with her. I have a vivid memory of sitting on the living room floor, and a whole bunch of these beautiful sinuous blue-eyed Siamese gathered around me in a circle (about 5 feet away–close enough to observe but not too close). One of them eventually broke away and came and rubbed against me–his eyes were totally crossed!
I should say… we had a Crazy Cat Lady IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
We personally didn’t have her. Our house was chaotic enough.
