So glad this darlin’ was rescued
My little rattie is getting his teeth cleaned on Thursday–I’m terrified that he’ll have to have more teeth pulled* and that he’s going to end up with his tongue hanging out like this.
*He’s already lost 6 or 7… He has genetically bad teeth, and I got him when he was a little older and had been mistreated, so he never had good initial care… Poor guy.
Sweet Jane – he’ll be ok… what they need most of all is luf! He won’t know he looks funny wif his tongue hanging out. If you continue to luf him, he’ll continue to be happy.
I have a kitty that is only two years old that has some god-awful bacterial infection of her gums, and has two surgeries so far to pull all but 7 of her teeth, and the vet says we’ll probably have to pull the rest during the next surgery, in September. But she is a happy little girl, because she knows she is safe and *loved!*
So right, ceejoe!
And, look at this happy girl! She is beautiful!
My doggie is also a rat terrier with almost no teeth who came from a “small dogs on death row” rescue group. I luv him to death.
They weren’t going to put him out for adoption because he had bad teeth. Can you imagine???
I laughed so hard the instant i saw this that – yep – a little snot came out my nose. TMI?
