Ok, i just saw all these comments about the squished mouse and i want to assure everyone there is NOT a dead mouse under that wheel. I went back and watched the video on my camera, and its just a place where the floor of the cage is bare. the "ear" and "eyes" are just food particles. haha

These are mice everyone - not rats!! Also, mice can flatten themselves out - like a pancake. I had mice when I was young....loved them!

Not sure if anyone remembers, but there is a human-sized wheel like this in the opening of Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie.

I second the idea of a running wheel instead of a treadmill. So much more fun.

Mice, not rats.

Also: not a “flat mouse” under the wheel. Those wheels always tend to kick up the sawdust that’s underneath them, revealing the plastic cage base underneath.
