I flip around the cable and find myself staring at the spanish speaking channels like a car wreck, you just cant look away!
and Senior Gopher reminds me of those hideous soaps where the offended party turns suddenly and the music rises “DADADA DAHHHHH”

I remember years of sitting at Grandma-Nana’s house watching telenovelas out of sheer boredom. Then one day we were eating at a Central American place, happily munching at papusas (still can’t spell that), and looked up at the television. The devious mastermind was going to drown two people by staking down a net at low tide with them beneath it. As the tide rose, they would slowly drown. Except that looking at it, you could see they could get up. Meanwhile, a chick pushed another chick down the stairs (again!) and something about a university professor… I don’t know. Mom giggled even more than I did knowing what they were saying.
I half expected an organ cue. Funny clip!
