That’s so awesome, I used to have gerbils that would do that… on the gerbil wheel, one would runrunrunrunrunrunrunSTOP and go flinging around in a circle. Makes me want to invent a rollercoaster for rodents.

That totaaaally reminds me of my hamster! My hamster tries to run reeeeally fast, as fast as his little pink furry feet can go and then he all of a sudden stops running and lets himself go around and around the wheel. He’s so cute when he does that! I love tiny Russian dwarf hamsters! I love love love it when they turn into little sleeping blobs!!!!!

Yay! I gotta hammie! He’s an absloutley adorable male honey hammie. I knew he was perfect when I saw him at petsmart–all his brothers were totally zonked, but he was runnin on his wheel like the cops were chasing him!!!
I got him a great cage and everything, and of course a wheel, and he’s lovin it. The only thing is he hasn’t climbed up his tubes yet to the second floor; I hope he figures out how.
Anyway, my boyfriend wants to name him Phadeus, although we don’t know what that means!
Perhaps that’s where anime creatures get their zany behaviours from – the simple observance of normal animals at play.

Awww, this reminds me of the (12) gerbils we used to have! They would see us watching them, then run on their little wheels to show off, then sudenly, they’d stop and ride the wheel around a few times!
