Um, that looks amazingly comfortable. I wouldn’t mind if someone wrapped me up in a giant, (clean!), sock and let me lay around and nap for the day.
I live in nyc and moms push their babies around in strollers wearing little slumber sacks that look almost identical to the kitty sock- the link has a picture of the baby sleeping sock.

My cat likes to drag my socks around the house and I always wonder if she is channeling back to the pre-rescue days when she was a teenage mother. (Maybe imagining the sock is a kitten.) If my socks had kittens in them we would both be happy!

‘pends on the kitten, Betty. Last night I dropped a big old floor-pillow on top of Mr. Bounce, who was trying get Mon Schmoop & me to watch HIM on the couch, rather than the TV. Again. Always. Happypaws happypaws claw prickle sharp.
Anyway, pillow goes kerPHLUMP, cat looks a bit vexed, but then just resigns himself, gets comfortable & stays there… for 30 minutes’ worth of “House.” Not a heavy pillow; he coulda wormed his way out anytime. But nope, he was just that lazy.

This was actually the method we used to corral our first cat when we took him to the vet to be neutered (it was like he had a premonition of what was going to happen and wouldn’t come near us or the carrier of his own volition.)It took both of us to get him in the sock, and when he got out at the vet’s he was maaaaaaaaaaaaaad!
*Some* cats don’t like being trapped. Some cats will actally knot themselves under several layers of heavy blankets and then purr loudly enough to wake the neighbors.

sometimes I used to put butterfly hair clips on my cat & see how long it took him to get them off (like 5 seconds)…so you know, peopls in glass houses.

That kitten looks soooo comfy and fast asleep, and just happy, not “cute or sad”. I have some furry socks like that, and they’re very stretchy–I wouldn’t be surprised if that kitty fit herself in there, like in a sleeping bag, and took a nice long nap.

This morning I was watching my little guy attack the socks that I really wanted to put on my feet as though they were out to murder not only him, but his happy family as well. Now I see this and wonder, who won that battle?
Regardless, both of my guys love to wedge themselves into the softest, tightest places they can find and are content to lie there all night.
Is this test marketing? Are we soon going to see camping kitty supplies? Can I take my cat camping now?! :O

Yep, that kitteh surely *wants* to be in the sock or he would *not* be in the sock. I am still puzzled as to *how* he got into the sock, however. Seems like it would be hard to get in without another hand to hold the sock still while you creep in? My kittehs have climbed into some odd places but never into a sock.

Reminds me of my chihuahua. When she was little we used socks like this for her sweater by just cutting little leg holes out. If she was cold, she would go find a sock/sweater and put her nose in it and whine until someone found her and helped her put it on.

We had a cat who wore a sock sweater after he was shaved lion cut bald. Sure, he HATED them, but I know they kept him warm and toasty. This looks like less of a ’sock sweater’ and more of the ‘oversized sock jail’ though.

Awwww. I used to put my ferrets in socks sometimes. They liked it, shut up. Sometimes they even went into them without any help, although it was usually head first in those cases.
