One of my comments was stopped for a ticket, and this is what it said.

I would scoop Hammi wan Kenobi up and snorgle him, but in that first picture he seems to be using some kind of paralyzing Ham-Jedi mind trick on me.

Oh dear. Oh my. The weeness and the teeniness of zee leetle hammidude (or hammidudette) and yes the wonderfully-toed small darlin’ tooties would certainly fit through the ring on the person’s hand who is holding the dear sweetiness and oh yowies, teh whompingly out-of-control cute attack I’m having!

First of all – OMG!
I have seen some serious cute here before, but this little fellow has stolen my heart. (I wonder where he hid it…I am gonna need it back really soon.)
Secondly, I shall now wax didactic over the “First Post” phenomenon.
Not that I am condoning the “First Post” claims that some (lucky) people submit, I think I understand it.
For me, it is like this:
*I* know that Meg has seen the cute, recognized the cute, and posted the cute all before I become a witness to the cute.
When I see that there are no comments posted, I still hurry to be “first”.
(Since I am rarely in the position where there are no comments posted, I am saved from temptation.)
In MHO, the insanity surrounding the “First Post” position has to do with wanting to be recognized as a high ranking member of the cult of cute.

At least…that’s how I see it.

I never knew why it was considered bad to be ham-handed. Looking at the first picture, I find it kind of delightful.
In that first one, he’s all like “bring it.” So tiny yet so fierce…very cute.

OMG! Hammie is too cute for words! He inspired me to make my first post on CO! I thought of getting a puppy for my daughter, but maybe a dwarf hammie instead? I could eat him up.
His expression is exactly like the one my cat Violet gets when she’s “making biscuits,” all serene-like.
Are you sure these are babeh gerbils, I’ve raised many gens of gerbil babies and they look just like this??
