aww pengwins! There were some tropical penquins at our Hotel in Hawaii…I had never heard of them! They were right outside the front of the hotel so each time we left or arrived I had to visit the little guys. The best was when they were sleeping! They SNORED!

The more I see and read about Penguins, the more I fall in love with them. Such sweet creatures.
Shanchan — penguins feel like plushy stuffed animals. We had one here at work one time to promote SeaWorld. Unfortunately, when nature calls, it smells like (you guessed it) dead fish. I think the fluffatude is worth it though.
If you go to the Boston Aquarium and you’re leaning over to look down into the penguin pool to watch feeding time and your sunglasses fall in, don’t worry, the penguin personnel will get them for you, after letting the penguins check to see if they are polar-ized.

It is adorable, but that chick is about 5x the size of newly hatched chick, so no newborn.
I know Emperor penguins only from Frans Lanting photos, haven`t see any movies mentioned here. It is really cute how parents keep little chicks warm by “standing on them”, with chick covered with fold of belly of the parent. THOSE photos are seriously adorable!

Yours is much cuter. Mine reflects my deep dark secret that I’m a leetle bit afraid of da pengins. We’ve had a copy of March of the Penguins downstairs for about 6 weeks and I begin to get all nervous when busband thinks about watching it. It’s rapidly approaching my Wizard of Oz phobia.

My favorite penguin pic is the shot in March of the Penguins, where the little guy has gotten just a bit too big to burrow in underneath mom or dad, but it tries anyway and is left with its head hanging out under the parent’s rear and its fuzzy little butt hanging out the front.
I went to see the movie with my best friend, a somewhat curmudgeonly guy in his mid-50s, and when that scene came on, we both laughed so hard, everyone for at least 3 rows around was turning around to see who was making all that noise.
