Cute Overload :D
"Sometimes life seems like a dream, especially when I look down and see that I forgot to put on my pants."
//// Apologies, folks, this post makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. Thank you – Meg///
AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, Uriel U.!
That’s a happy little otter with a really big yawn.
Yawn – I am sweepy!
…but then again, has anyone seen an otter that WASN’T happy?
i think he’s sneezy cos he’s ‘lergic to gwass. and he’s wearing no pantz!
HARharharhar…oh he is just otter this world!!!
He is otterly happy!
Um….nope, never seen an unhappy otter! That would be unottceptable!
otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters otters
The fur kind of looks like that fake plastic wood… Cute face.
Looks like the grass tickles otter feets.
[Lauri — you otter stop with the bad puns!]
I otter, but I can’t. Can’t stop…..running otter at the mouf!!!
I love otters! They are my favorite beasts.
Yawn? Or a sneeze?
maybe some little buggy told him a funny joke *goes off by self to imagine such a thing…*
otters are soo cute :)
When I was little I wanted to have an otter as a pet and keep him in the bathtub! I love them!
someone stop Lauri! she’s otter control!
[leaves room quietly hanging head]
Whoa … from top to bottom he suddenly looks like a lion!
Whatever that otter’s up to, he’s clearly having a blast.
Impossible things before breakfast: I caught Boxcar Kitten P this morning! This guy:
He’s a twin to Kitten O, except for the amount of white on his front pawses (he has more). Something (the weather forecast with very low temps and possible flurries for tonight) possessed me to go down with a carrier and tin of food when I went to check on the food bowls this a.m. He was there, I put wet food out on the plate, and even though there was a lot of kibble from another feeder, he went for it. I had no trouble picking him up. He struggled when I put him in the carrier, but after I got him home and into my recovery space, I took him out of the carrier, put him in my lap to put Revolution on him for fleas, and within 30 seconds, he was purring.
*Then* I picked up Kittens M and O from the vet after their spay & neuter, and put them in my bathroom. I have three kittens in my apartment now, my own three cats wondering WTF, and here I am at work! I want to be home, cuddling kittens.
ohmygod. that pretty much just made my life.
Look at the little webbed foot!!!!
Laurie C – I know the work is its own reward but well done! So pleased for you and the kitties. The good you do is inspiring to the rest of us.
Someone told him the joke about the sea lions.
There are two documentary filmmakers who are going to be miffed, because they wanted to shoot us trapping cats at the boxcars, and now we have to wait several weeks till two litters get older, but I’m in this for the cats, not the films.
Oooooo, Laurie C, you can stay at work and _I_ will go over to your apartment and snorgle whoever needs snorgling!!!!
Whheeeeee for kits!
Hey, what are otter pups called…is it pups?
Thanks for the Batworm, T.
What an adorable otter! He looks so happy! If you love otters as much as I do, you might like my web site http://cuteotters.com
Lauri – found references to kits, cubs and pups.
Awwww The wittle Otter! He is so cute!
P.S. This is the last time. Please come wish David BoBavid a happy birthday here: http://badkittie2021.vox.com/
I think he’s laughing! That’s so cute! :D
I love it when otters anchor themselves down with seaweed. hee.
Lauri C – YaY for you and the kittens!! Someone said months back, it’s like winning the Nobel Prize for Trust when you get feral kitties to purr! I’ve had a couple ferals that I socialized during my years of rescue – and the Nobel Prize for Trust is the perfect description!
And I know what you mean about wanting to be home snorgling. That used to keel me when I was fostering kittens!
Webbed Foot Action!
By the by…found an interesting site with a great otter clip:
Egads , @&*# double post!
LaurieC – YAY for Boxcarcat!
This is just another file in the case that animals really do smile and laugh. How frickin cute can you get?
Laurie C: don’t you feel a migraine coming on, or some kind of stomach thing? ‘Cause I would so go home sick if I had 3 cuddly kitties at home. (My resistence level is 2 cuddly kitties, which is good, ’cause otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hold down a job, since that’s how many I have in my bed at home.)
Chet’s Momma: I think the punchline to the joke that the bug told the otter is “No, bring me my brown pants.”
\threadjack: Redzilla… how do you identify a bald eagle? All his feathers are combed to one side.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled CO.
tee hee hee! I love it Redzilla! Laurie C., yes, I think you are feeling, uh, a little nauseous, yep, that’s it. and, it appears you stubbed your pinky toe, so yes, you reaaaally need to go home.
We missed Ottertocks by inches, but Otterrump is good, too!
I’m in love.
Been watching for a while. Thought I’d wade in on this one.
Unhappy otters do exist. I witnessed an otter trying to sleep and another otter came along and tried to drag him into the water by his foot. The otter woke up very grumpy and tried to smack the second otter on the head. It was the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. But the sleepy otter looked very mad.
Lol…oh that is precious, Neylana!
(and happy Teho by way of inferration)
I wonder what otters sound like when they laugh….
Neylana, that sounds SO CUTE!
**picturing Crabby Otter bopping Playful Otter on the head**
I was just saying to myself that CO needed more representatives from the Otter family and lookie here! Next morning, WISH GRANTED!
PuppyMomma: otters have a trilling/chattering sound they make when they are happy (which is most of the time)… so think dolphin chatter on helium.
An Otter Yawning. A Winkin Blinkin Notter.
So there it is, folks. Your daily allotterment of Cute, staring you in the face.
Doesn’t he look like someone’s grandpa who just told the worst joke in the world and is now having a knee-slapping fit of laughter trying to convince you that it was really funny?
MALKOVICH MALKOVICH MALKOVICH
He sure does, AuntieMame!
Look at the color of his coat. Simply Rich!
Thank you so much CuteOttersDotCom! Love the site. I’m putting it in Favorites. . .
“See this coat? What’s it look like to you – 10,000 maybe 100,000 hairs to the inch? Not even close, my friend! Try 1,000,000 – yes that’s 1,000,000 hairs to the inch! The richest in the animal kingdom, my friend! And every single one them is mine! Fur trappers – see what I got sticking up in the air? That’s what I got for you, HA! I AM A PROTECTED SPECIES!”
LMAO, Aubrey. Never did get why people would want cute cuddly animals killed and made into fur. Fur don’t purr, baby.
Umm BeccaJo — I get the reference but am totally thrown by the non sequitur…
I just went to the cuteotters website (which is a totally redundant name which unnecessarily repeats itself). A “romp” of otters, peeps! Did you know that’s what a group of otters is called?
I like the otter kind of porn.
[sudden awkward silence]
i believe otters resemble malkovich. or malkovich resembles otters. either, or.
This otter is actually in heaven, right? That glorious green grass kind of gives it away.
I think he’s laughing at us. Weird thing is, I can’t say I mind at all.
BeccaJo — good grief, I’d forgotten that. But then, when I looked at those three suspicious characters, I saw something completely different…
“Snow? I don’t got no steeeinkin’ snow! HAHAHAAAA!!”
“Now ahm FREE…free-fallin’… yeah I’m FREEEEEEEEE….free-fallin’….”
Gaaaaa….we got an inch of snow on the ground!!1
*gnashing of teeth*
I can’t believe we got this far in the thread and I get to say it…”He otter be in pictures…”
Ebee — nice! How about “WALK THIS WAAAAAY!!…”
Too cute for words!
“The hiiiillls are aliiiive… with the soooound of muuuuusiiiiic…”
You’re different, aren’t you?
Hmmm. *Taps finger to lip*
Yes, yes, he issss different.
Vedy vedy different.
Pour some formaldehyde on him, ve vill dissect him later.
“Ze studentz shall azzemble lader, Dr. Lauri. Ze dizzection arena shall be vull, I think.
They take many notes tonight, yes?”
(takes a hit of pear schnapps)
[one by one]
[shick.] [shick.] [shick.] [shick.] [SHINGGG!]
“Dock-tor! Dock-tor! Ze straplings have been broken! Our stripling has broke the straplings! Quick: ve must subdue! Tranqvilize vith ze puddings – break him with brulee! STOPS VITH YOUR STARES AT ZE OTTER!”
I’d answer, but pillars of salt can’t type.
No. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Oh, Theo, I am definitely with you on the “Walk this WAAAYY!!” choice… That’s a Steven Tyler impression, if I’ve ever seen one :) All he needs is a little microphone stand he can jump around with.
(“I was crrrrrrryyyyying when I met you…”)
A friend of mine made a New Year’s Resolution last year to be more like an otter. Her reasoning was that they swim a lot, eat a lot of seafood and vegetation, and make it a priority to loll in the sunshine – all admirable activities. Otters definitely know how to have a good time!
OK I hate to say it but I think this is NOT a happy otter. I had an internship at the zoo when I was in high school and the otters HATED it when we would close them in back and clean up their display space (lots of slimey poop up front and yummy food in back but go figure).
They used to sit back there and do this hiss/screech thing at us the whole time.
One day I came back by on my lunch (because I loved the otters and didn’t think they could actually hate me) and they RECOGNIZED me and they all stood there just like this little guy is doing making that hiss/screech sound at me. All of the zoo visitors looked at me like I must have been beating the otters earlier.
Needless to say I slunk away.
He is a HAPPY otter!! That was the I am very hungry squeak.
So Laurie, basically what you’re saying is that he isn’t singing “walk this way”, but rather “I hate you so much right now!! AAAAARRRGHHH”
this is my favorite post. I love it to death!
Yessss, definitely Steven Tylutraer, doing that “ow ow ow” thing he does, black stripes down the claws, and somewhere nearby lurks a sullen-looking Joe Perryotter.
either he is yawning or he ate something really bad!!
Oh and why does he look like plastic
The “plastic” look is just the way otterfur looks when it’s wet. They’re kinda oily little dewds.
