An oldie, but goodie

The best part is the lion sliding down the giraffe leg. Delicious!

  4. Stephers says:

Only in Kenya! Yes an oldie, but always good. I still get the song stuck in my head every once in a while. That and Magical Trevor. :D

  5. Danielle says:

I loved this! So sowwy Norway.

  6. Redzilla says:

    Holy Crap. Lions! Tours.

  7. Redzilla says:

Or am I the only one who hallucinated that?

  8. Theo says:

You hallucinated it for all of us. Can I have your snorkel?

  9. jenne says:

I wish my cats would dance that um, cutely. :D I don’t know why this is so cute/funny, but it is! I want to go on a Holy Crap Lions Tour! :D

And I’m a little embarassed to admit I checked out some Weebl & Bob vids and they are funny too. Somehow. Not sure how. oh AND.. speaking of songs getting stuck in your head.. on the main page.. the “annoying” song.. also cracked me up..

Oh wait.. we’re about CUTE here, not funny. Never mind then. ;)

  10. Karen says:

    I LOVE that song!

  11. Theo says:

Whatever you do, Jenne, don’t click on the “Choccy” vid…

  12. Redzilla says:

If you dare, if you’re not a chicken (not that there’s anything wrong with that), go check out Weebl & Bob’s Intervention with their pirate friend Chris.

  13. mariser says:

    I . hate . all . of . you .

  14. Chelsea says:

If you liked ‘Kenya’, try ‘Lapland’ :D … or maybe wait a couple of months so it’s in season ;)

  15. Josie says:

Very fun. My daughter loved it and danced around the living room hehe.

  16. Evil Spock says:

Thanks for the diversion! I posted the toon on my blog and dropped Cute Overload’s name.

  17. Jenne says:

Okay, I’ve obviously really been missing out by not knowing about that whole Weebl website thing. It’s crackin me up! Well.. except the Choccy one. That was just flat annoying. But Kenya/Lapland? Catchy tune. :D

  18. Puck says:

    Mmmmmm.. pie!

  19. Slartibartfast says:

You’re all sick! That poor zebra died. I’m never coming back to CO again. Meg’s gone too far in her thirst for traffic and controversy this time.

  20. Theo says:

…and we all love Mariser! Hee.

  21. Theo says:

    [ker-SNORT] …don’t panic, Slartibartfast.

  24. Madame S. says:

One of my FAVOURITE sites, and FAVOURITE cartoons! Even if there aren’t any tigers in Africa . . . .

  25. Jenne says:

    oh the insanity!!!

Hey how come it always takes me till about the third time through before I realize they’re repeating the song/video over and over…

…duugong, duugong, its the cow of the sea-hee-hee!…

  26. Koneko says:

    Kenya believe it? XD

I still prefer The Egg Song myself, but this is still adorable. ^_^

  27. Slartibartfast says:

Is it wrong that I’m honestly bugged by the fact that dugong’s are not the same animal as manatees? The tails are different.

I guess I’m in the same boat as Madame S. re: African tigers.

  28. Gryph says:

Slartibartfast is just mad because that video is anti-Norway and therefore anti-fjord.

  29. Laura says:

I beg to differ – the cutest part is the tiger crisscrossing his fork & knife!

  30. Jenne says:

    Durnitall.. can’t locate egg song…

  31. jenna_sais_quoi says:

    Free snorkel with every visit!
    Bwahahaha…

  32. NebraskaErin says:

    Kenya!!

I love Magical Trevor, too. I need to play that when my nephew is over. His name is Trevor. He’s four, it’ll make him giggle. Why didn’t I think of that before? Genius!!

  33. Rain says:

http://akelavincent.livejournal.com/ did a lot of Kenya picture spoofs for people. Some pictures are at http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l220/raininmarch/kenya.jpg

  34. Trond Helge says:

In the quiet words of Monty Python: “A tiger? In Africa??”

Btw, Norway has lots of fun things to see too! We’ve got fjords, and many interesting furry animals :)

  39. Lucy says:

    ditto.

  42. hrh.squeak says:

Teho – how did you get the little perchy-dots?

  43. suda nim says:

    Fjord Prefect?

  44. Theo says:

Squeak — I’m not umlaut to say.

  45. tigerlove says:

oooh, nice suda. i’m actually reading the books for like, the 4th time, and i’m only 13. Any1 else wnodering how we can get from tigers and lions to the hitchiker’s guide?

  46. Diem says:

Happy song, happy song; that site is loaded with happy songs!

Me like happy songs that take me away from the drudgery of daily work.

Duugong, duugong, it’s the cow of the seeeaa.

    hmmm, hmm, hmmm, hmm, hmhmhmhmmmmmmm.

  47. Diem says:

I also have Bonjour stuck in my head as a back-up.

    Viva le pants!

  48. AmyH says:

Every so often I find myself singing “Bananaphone!”

Way back when we kids were little, Mom and Dad took us to Disney World. Our boat broke down in the middle of the “It’s A Small World” ride. My mom still twitches when we bring it up.

  49. AmyH says:

Uh oh. I may have inadvertantly inserted two of the most incessant earworms into many of your brains. So sorry…

  50. They also updated it with live action

    http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/kenya+live/

    Dewi

  51. Redzilla says:

I wish I had a time machine…so I could unwatch that crazy video.

AmyH, I bet that’s when your mom got hooked on Valium. Oh, wait, that’s my mom.

  52. wolfwhocriedboy says:

    *rolling*

Man, I wish I’d submitted that. I saw it like, MONTHS ago.

    Two points though:

    1) No tigers in Kenya – sorry. You need Asian jungles for that. :p

    2) NORWAY ROCKS. *berzerker viking rage* ;)

    3) Pfft – Lapland. Everyone knows WE’VE got Santa in the CANADIAN arctic. Sillies. *extra winkage*

I’m so glad Meg posted these. Check out the Crabs song by the same twisted artist(s)

  53. Theo says:

    Original or HL2 version, WolfBoy?

  54. wolfwhocriedboy says:

Yes, I know the Tiger and Norway points were already made but I was “in character”. ;) I could get Uber pedantic if you want. *SMILE*

  55. Jenne says:

Egg Song… okay… cute but not as catchy as I’d hoped. Sounds like something my 6yo daughter would be singing in the shower, LOL!

Now.. BANANAPHONE.. ROFL! I was going to mention it earlier b/c I’ve recently become re-obsessed with it.. finally got a cellular phone that I could dl ringtones to and I SO want that for a ringtone ROFL but.. too cheap to get the necessary software. At any rate.. glad someone else mentioned it..

    Ringringringringringringring Bananaphone!

  56. wolfwhocriedboy says:

Erm – Wolfboy is me, yes?

I’m embarassed to admit that I don’t know what HL2 version means. Heh, heh *looks around sheepishly*

p.s. not that it matters but wolfboy is a girl. :D cheers!

  57. Lauri says:

Ok, I managed to NOT watch that for the last entire day. Now I watched it and I am cursed for all time!!!

    (kenya, kenya, kenya, kenyaaaa)

  58. Theo says:

    [so very confused]
    OK, “HL2″ = Half-Life 2. Excellent dystopian “first-person shooter” game for PC.

    Original version:
    http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/crabs/

    HL2 version:
    http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/headcrabs/

  59. wolfwhocriedboy says:

    Heh, sorry for the multi-posting.

Theo – I just figured what you meant. I was refering to the original. I only just saw the HL (wink) version just now. While the concept appeals to my morbid sense of humor, the original is funnier. I think. :)

  60. ariel says:

    aaaaaah!
weebls site also has “aubrey the arse hamster!”

  61. Nutella Nutterson says:

The two that always get stuck in my head are 1) unsingable and 2) entirely too difficult to explain. I suppose you can decide which is which…

It’s the Poo and Wee song!!!

    http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/The+Poo+and+Wee+Song/

    Boogie!

    http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/boogie/

  62. Jinxtigr says:

    Be careful, cutesters :)

Magical Trevor is every bit as cute as Kenya, Badger Badger too, but Crabs is kind of too twisted to be nice, and there is also much evilness on weebls. Don’t go watching ‘Salad Fingers’ animations if you are hoping for cute, for instance. They are more like ‘very, brilliantly, disturbing’, some more than others, some are just nasty :)

    Yay weebls, tho :)

  63. zozoco says:

Oh my Frog. I thought I’d seen EVERYthing on Weebl and Bob’s site — but I had missed Lapland. YAY Lapland.

  64. wolfwhocriedboy says:

    Quoted from Jinx:

“‘very, brilliantly, disturbing’, some more than others, some are just nasty :)

You are very right J. Personally, I LOVE twisted and though the crabs in “Crabs” are very CUTE, if it was posted here I’m sure the Nuffi’s would start an uprising. ;) Not to mention the likes of “Mr. Stabby” :) *halo-circled-smile*

Weebls isn’t for everyone. Enter and enjoy at your own risk.

  65. nora says:

Totally singing this loudly all the way home! Too bad I’m not riding the bus!!

  66. ElfOwl says:

    EEBLS, PEEBLS!

    Lapland was AWESOME!

    Earworms are NOT!

    Badgersbadgerbadgersbadgers…

    Llama llama DUCK!

  67. Slartibartfast says:

“Any1 else wnodering how we can get from tigers and lions to the hitchiker’s guide?”

    Because I posted.

And I’m totally gonna go make some fjords for Kenya. Maybe get some more rewards. They’re nice on the mantle, you know.

  68. Nicole says:

OHHEMMGEE…I saw this toon on the Nicktoons network late one night, as one of their Shorts. My boyfriend and I watched it, blinked at each other, and swore up and down the next day that we hallucinated it. Glad to know we didn’t. :)

I should have known the BadgerBadgerBadger MUSHROOMMUSHROOM people were involved in such a thing.

Other points: Mr. Stabby is so great. And Salad Fingers is too, though it creeps me out immensely. I like being frightened by the Internet, tho. :)

  69. gwenchocolate says:

Ummm, I watched it about six times before I realized it would repeat forever.

Liked the live action one too.

  70. wolfwhocriedboy says:

Hey Gwen, It happens. ;) It’s just their way of making sure that the earworm has maximum time to infiltrate you gray matter.

    :o D – all good, all the time. ;)

  71. AmyH says:

No tigers in Africa? Well, there are Tigers in Detroit!

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/79954847@N00/262584233/

    Go Tigers! Woo hoo!

(And what MLB executive idiot has the Tigers/Yankees game scheduled for the EXACT SAME TIME as Michigan/Michigan State game?!RRRRAAAAAAWWWWRRR!)

Hoo – much better now, thanks.

  72. jaypo says:

AHHHH, EARWORMS! You guys ate without me! Here’s an antidote to earworms, honest. It’s my favorite antiworm:

  73. lurkertype says:

Amy, that D-land story explains sooooo much about your family. Tewtelly.

  74. sabrina says:

nooooo! too much cute singing arg! damn that egg too!!!!!!
    http://www.stupid.com/cartoons/potatofilm.html

  75. mariser says:

    for AmyH,

    “GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”"GO TIGERS!”
ahem. in truthiness, is more like,
    “GO WHOEVER BEATS THE YANKEES”
    “GO WHOEVER BEATS THE YANKEES”
    “GO WHOEVER BEATS THE YANKEES”
    “GO WHOEVER BEATS THE YANKEES”

but I reckon you’d like the first version better…
    also,
“GO MSU TRY TO NOT MAKE ASSES OF YOURSELVES THIS TIME”

  76. Pam says:

OMG, Weebl’s stuff on Cute Overload…the convergence of two of my favorite websites is likely to…

    *poit*

    (head asploded with joy)

  77. Rayn says:

This is just totally redonkulous. Just a day or two ago I was thinking about this song… I think Norway came up, somehow.

SPEAKING of redonkulous… It was tewtally just used on VH1 during the “40 Dumbest Celeb Quotes Ever” thing I’m kindanotreally watching… I can’t tell you who said it.. I was fairly certain that I hallucinated it because of the simul-CO-surfing, but for some unknown reason, the closed captions are on my TV and redonkulous stayed on for an oddly long amount of time.

Sorry for the long-windededness, but I’m just a lil’ bit delirious today. It’s just been one of those days.

  78. maymee says:

I like the way they say zebra. It’s ZEHBRA not ZEEBRA.

You must admit they have a point.

  79. suda nim says:

My brother’s sure cure for any earworm:

    “Billy, don’t be a hero….”

  80. suda nim says:

I want to share this with you. Can I? Please? Many many years ago, when my uncle was stationed in Japan, he sent us the strangest little record. We LOVED it and played it all the time, but it eventually got lost or whatever, and we forgot.

My brother found it on the internet. I want to share. It is peculiar beyond words, and this group animated it.

Go to http://www.legnog.com/music/ and click on “I Only Live Twice.”

You will make me so very, very happy.

  81. Denise in Nebraska says:

You know, I must sadly admit that it took me about 5 minutes of watching this video to realize that IT NEVER ENDS!!!! There is no END to this clip!!!! The lions and tigers that only come from Kenya keep coming up!! Animated advertising for travel to Kenya. Who would have thunk it?! With that said, off to book my trip.

  82. brownamazon says:

Wonder what our Aubrey thinks of Aubrey the Arse Hamster…

These guys really have it in for Norway, for some reason.

  83. R. Moore says:

AAAAH! Theo! I had forgotten my FAVORITE quote. I love the moose bit :) :) :)

  84. Thorne says:

    Kenya believe it? *snicker*

.. okay, enough lion around. Back to the packing.

  85. R. Moore says:

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti…

  86. Danielle says:

There’s nöthing nasty aböut Jellö chöcölate mööse pudding.

  87. wolfwhocriedboy says:

*groan* Thorne, *groan* ;) I thought the puns were hitting the ohter posts. :p

  88. Danielle says:

Kenya stop lion around? Safari I can’t.

  89. lauowolf says:

    Suda-
    That is SO ODD

  90. Thorne says:

Well, /someone/ has to do it, with Aubrey out of town. ^^

    … and, Oh… my … gawd. O.O
I would have to actually work to beat that one, Danielle. ^^

  91. AmyH says:

Suda nim! That was fantastic! I love, love, love it. Kicked out of heaven for drinking too much wine? That’s not my idea of heaven. Huh. Maybe I’m headed somewhere else.

Thanks, mariser! I’ll need the moral support from afar for the game(s) tomorrow. I suppose I could stay home and watch it with Elvis. But misery loves company – and Elvis gets a little afraid when Mommy gets upset at the moving picture box, so I’ll be at the bar.

  92. happy_bunny says:

Dr. Lazarus’ Cheese Puppy;s pretty cute too. But kind of gross.

  93. happy_bunny says:
  94. Jackie31337 says:

Actually, there ARE tigers in Africa now… Asian tigers relocated to African wildlife reserves as part of a conservation effort. But it’s true that tigers are not native to Africa.

Also, if nobody else has mentioned it yet (didn’t read all the comments) Weebl’s Badgers cartoon is also pretty adorable. Unless you’re afraid of snakes or mushrooms. My daughter has loved it ever since she was a tiny baby. :) She calls it “patcha patcha” because “badger” is just not a familiar word to her.

  95. Nickole says:

According to the trajectory of this morning’s heavy rainfall, it just might have been Kenya urinating over Norway.

  96. Theo says:

…that’s a pretty rare occurrence, though.

  97. Laurie C says:

Nickole, haven’t seen you for ages! (unless you’ve been spelling your name differently)

  98. Subhangi says:

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Meg’s right. I LOVE the lion sliding down the giraffe’s leg!!!

  99. Danielle says:

Kenya get me a free snorkel?

  100. Nickole says:

You’re right, Laurie, I have been absent, and I’ve missed you all!

Theo: I think it’s getting more common by the day. Some years ago the deal was rain from September through March. It wasn’t really great, but you could, like, count on it. If you felt miserable, you could safely blame it on the weather.

Lately, there’s no order or method.

First, the Kenyan urine is flooding, and it feels like all of Africa is concentrating their efforts. Never mind cars, if you want somewhere, you better be prepared to row.

Then it might be the loveliest sunny day, and if you feel like shit, there’s nothing to blame it on.

I mean, it’s really a mess. Someone ought to be blamed. What a way to run a Universe!

We’re being promised more extreme weather years to come. I don’t really know why. Can’t remember asking for it…

  101. Ponygirl says:

    A tiger… in Africa?

  102. AuntieMame says:

Here come, here, come, here come the badgers. Here come, here come, here come the badgers. Here come, here, come, here come the badgers. Here come, here come, here come the badgers.

    doot doot!

  103. suda nim says:

AmyH — So glad you like it. My favorite part is the chorus: “Heaven is a good place — come at least once.”

  104. mariser says:

    threadjack for AmyH,
    w00t!w00t!w00t!
    w00t!w00t!w00t!
    GOOOOO TIGERS!
    !yay!

  116. ScorpioSpirit says:

just noticed – not to worry peeps, I wasn’t really doing maths at 8-55 am!!! I’m English!!! Either that or the CO clock has issues!!!

  117. Theo says:

CO comment timestamps are all in Pacific time, Scorpio. Silicon Valley, y’know. GMT-7 (I think).

  118. That is awesome … I think I had it repeat 6 times or so before it ended …

  119. payton says:
