Ah, Steve will be greatly missed… I remember when he went to Sea Lion Caves…. And I was so excited, because Sea Lion Caves is a place I had been, and live fairly close to…. And then to find that Terri was from here, and I know people who know her… We are all sad for the loss.

When I heard of steve’s death in the news, I was devistated. so rarely is the world blessed by someone like steve, who’s passion and enthusiasam for animal conservation has touched so many people.

Being a wildlife lover myself I mourn the loss of Steve and what he meant to the world – human and animal kingdom. Do you think his beloved critters feel his loss too? What a geat man – lets keep his work and memory alive.

I worked as a zoo volunteer for 15 years at the Houston Zoo, Houston,Tx, USA working with elephant keepers. I love elephants with all my heart but I found a “new world” of love for elephants when I saw Steve Irwin on one of his shows besides a baby elephant, crying because it was going to die. My heart goes out to his wife, children and zoo family. Love ya Steve!!1

I miss steve irwin so much and loved him, so to show my love to him I thought I would write a peom so here it is.

steve was a man full of courage,
and he was full of brains.

For he will be missed,
but never forgotten.
he will live in my heart,
and i will cherish him.

I see such a correlation between Steve and John Denver and interestingly enough John wrote Calypso and was involved with the work of the Cousteau’s and Jacques Cousteau’s grandson was with Steve at the time of his death..
