The cat’s name is “Ponta” and he is the movie star (idol) of the local dog cafe!
The announcer is just basically saying that the cat loves to hang out with the dogs at the dog cafe, and that the white dog (Satsuki) is Ponta’s special friend. The owner said, “When Ponta comes in, Satsuki is sweet and very gentle.” The grooming is so cute my heart actually hurts!
(Hah! I knew that minor in Japanese was worth something!)

I feel that most Japanese female announcers sound pretty much like that, or higher (yeah, believe it) and more breathy. Kind of like here in America where you get the choice between dignified, well-spoken older women newscaster vs. vapid, fast-talking vee-jay.

I 100% heart this video and the kawaii-mad Japanese. I also heart how they breezily Nipponify the English words, so that at first it actually sounds Japanese: “Amerikan-u Sho-tu-har”. Squeee! Our Siamese snorgles our greyhounds like this all the time. The hounds don’t really snorgle back, though. They merely tolerate his attentions with a bemused and dignified expression.

SHOCKING!!! I am in awe. Does this cat smell or taste like a doggie treat?? What gives?? I didn’t realize that different species can be so…intimate. How sweet. :^)
Well that settles the debate, cats rule dogs drool;) Even dogs know the joys to be had at a good snorgle-fest.
So, I started out thinking, “What was that cat rolling in?” Then, my inner voice (sometimes it’s an outie) provided the commentary for the kitty, who’s like, “Juuuust a little to the right. Yea, RIGHT there.” And now, I’m wondering what the heck the premise of the video was (other than inter-racial lubbin’).
Now that I’ve typed in my comments, I can go back and read the other comments and hopefully, find out!
Maybe the kuuute kitteh eats Japanese sushi cat treats which de doggaies smell. lick lick lick…”hmmmmm…smells like sushi but don’t taste like it!” Then the spend the rest of the evening trying to get the cat hair off their tongues.

These are a few of my favourite things…
I bet that Satsuki is a *female* White German Shepherd. (They’re a separate breed from the regular Shepherds.) Why?
Because I had a dog that looked *just like Satsuki* –only we named her “Blizzard”. Blizzard also liked to play with the cats, and ended up with a black/red nose because of it…. (Seems the kitties –one of ‘em a “Rum Tum Tugger” type– didn’t reciprocate.)
I wish I had a video to share of cats stalking my dog. It happens every once in a while. Elvis is cat-sized, so kittehs will look at him like…whaaaa? and take a few steps toward him, then a few more, meanwhile he is doing his dog thing, sniffing everything on dog’s green earth & lifting his leg on it, oblivious to the cat, till the cat either sniffs his butt or Elvis just happens to turn around, and then the cat takes off like he just turned into a big snarling bear! Although the cats don’t always take off cause E is kitteh-friendly. they just look at him like he is an alien (I know the feeling). It’s funny stuft though!
I think that is one of the cutest things that I have ever seen, and that nibble, OMG feels soooooooooooo good. I can tell. LOL (just a little to the right) LOL
