Cute Overload :D
[Looks up tenatively]
Why so few posts in the last 2 days?
Sorry guys... you know how it is with work and shizzle... Thanks for the Ferrle, Beth M.
Aww, what a cutie pie!!!
Awww! So cute! We still love CO, little guy!
Poor little fuzzymuzzlepuffikins. It’s lonely at the top!
I was gonna hunt you down and find out if you were sick, and then bring you stuffed animals! We were all worried!
Take care of yourself.
He does look sort of forlorn…poor fella.
Meg, we understand you have to do, like, actual work and stuff. But boy do we feel your absence! It’s amazing how necessary CO is…you never really notice how much until the posts are just trickling in.
It’s sort of like when you injure a body part, and then you’re all, “Whoa, I really do use that a lot. I never noticed.” (Or maybe that’s just me. I’m always suprised by how critical parts of my anatomy really are…I only tend to notice when they’re malfunctioning.)
awww. he needs huggles!
Words cannot DESCRIBE my joy!!!
It’s a ferret! Yummeh! *cuddles*
Little ferret, don’t be sad. Just go look at the archives and you’ll be happy again. Nice Meg too busy, but she hasn’t forgotten you (or us).
Be of good cheer, young ferret! You stand on the royal purple blanket!
Awww…I want to just scratch his wee forehead… skruggle…skruggle…
Poor little fuzzy isn’t so fuzzy! He’s got Adrenal Disease – very common among US-bred ferrets (those you find in pet stores). Thankfully, there are treatments to help them get better. I hope this little one got some medicine and is all better!
Thanks for the ferret!!! We want more!!!
Although in my case, warrior rabbit, it’s more like “whoa, I didn’t know I even *had* a muscle there.”
Doesn’t work stink? I’m still looking for a job that will pay me to goof around all day. Haven’t found it yet, though…
eee, he looks about as forlorn as I feel. We *do* understand about work and stuff, Meg, but c’mon, we can’t survive without our daily CO fix.
Actually, we survived quite well by having a pudding party/fight while you were gone ;)
I suspect Meg could use an intern!
“Go get me a kitten… NOW!”
“Yes, Ma’am.” [intern scurries away]
Or a “guest poster” like all the webcomix do…. the qulity will suuuuu-huuuuuck, but there will be *something* there, even if it is stick people.
Imminent ferret tears…he looks about to cry.
That’s okay Meg. I’ve been keeping myself occupied by knitting pants for small mammals.
Betharoopie: I was just about to post asking about this poor little guy. He looks so tiny and almost malnurished with all that missing fur! Still adorable in his forloned state!
Sarcasta, do you read Sluggy Freelance, perchance? :) (stick people filler cartoons for the last week or two)
Poor little ferret. I need to go snuggle my two!
Awwww…I bet the bebe smells all milky and sweet. Looks so confused and perplexed! Want to tell him ‘s all okay.
Clotypus, do you perhaps mean “furlorned” state?
I wanna hug him. Little sweetumpie.
I used to ferret-sit for some friends. Her name was Fizzy, and she was pretty much all bald. I could hear her walking around the house — her little paws would make a “pad pad pad” sound on the hardwood floors.
Aw. Pensive ferret.
belphebe, I have always meant to read Sluggy, but never has time to start at the beginning. Actually, I was thinking of the Dom days at Megatokyo, where the stick peeps are obvy drawn in Word and are all horrible and shaky.
Sad, just sad.
baroo? is that what ferrets say? lol thats fantastic
Regarding the “is baroo a dog- only sound” debate – i agreed that cats “prrt?” but this ferret has DEFINITELY been caught mid-baroo.
Oh, this guy looks sooo sad! And now you tell me he’s sicky-poo? Heart…breaking…
1. “Baroo” does not seem ferretesque.
2. Meggie need intern to study ferretspeak.
Sarcasta: Stick kittens?
Darn, just when I decide to send you my own pictures to post! I’ve been checking every hour for the last few days!
Awww poor furless furret!
meg-it’s so hard to take care of all us cute-aholics, isn’t it?! we all hope YOU are doing well and taking care of YOURSELF! thanks for all you do….
Awwwwwwwwooooooooowwwww! Definitely the perfect Baroozlepuff!!!
I don’t really like ferrets, but I would sooo snorgle that one! Wook at his widdwe face!
Is everyone else blind? This baby is bleeding – com’on – HELP him.
Poor little guy probably has adrenal cancer. It causes them to lose all their hair except on their head and feet. It may look awful, but it isn’t painful, and it is usually treatable with surgery or medication.
Beth M. please let us know if this little ferret got better. Did he/she get cured? I have to know cause I am so sad to see such a darling in distress.
That is the very definition of FORLORN.
Sorry little guy, I was still in shock from the attack of Señor Lickersons. I`m better now.
Clearly, the little guy is sad because he just knitted a tree sweater for the one outside his window, only to be told by his mum that the sweater would, indeed, have to “wait” to be given until December, February, or sometime frosty (certainly not in 100-plus degree weather)! Poor little guy. He’s never seen a calendar and has only lived inside, in air conditioning…how was he to know??
Oh….I agree that an intern might be a cute-tastic idea, for this site. Where’s Theo, when you need him?? Theo, are you out there?? Could you “assist”, in a “Meg C.O. work emergency”?? We leave such things to the “specialists”. Many lives are depending on you (but no pressure, or anything). :^)
I want to hug this little ferret and make him feel all better!
dude, ferrets totally say “dook?”
they also say “dook!!!!” when excited. no, really, they actually do say “dook!” when excited. i’ve never actually heard one say “dook?” in questioning but if they could i’m sure they would.
That is the saddest looking animal I’ve seen in a long time!
My puppy almost got run over yesterday…luckily he skidded out of the way but he ripped off his dewclaw and that pad in doing so…he had the same look.
Maybe I should send in a pic of him with his bandaged paw under ‘cute or sad’…cavaliers ALWAYS look sad and pleading!
Poor little mite. Such a sweet little pouty face. I hate you CO, you’ve made me cry…
I think this ferret is Mira, from the Miami Ferret rescue? If I identified her right, she was burned by bleach and had to have several surgeries and skin grafts. That’s an ear missing in that photo.
Good grief – he ACTUALLY looks sorrowful. Poor little guy.
Right ferret, wrong rescue. Mira is from the Ferret Association of Connecticut. You can read about her story here: http://www.ferret-fact.org/Mira1.htm
he looks like someone just told him he is getting a shot
Laurie C: HAH! Pwned :P
andrea l nash:
I can kinda see where her may be bleeding. But it could be the “color pattern” on his skin…or perhaps a birthmark? It’s too dark for me to tell honestly. :\
I went to Mira’s link that Ferret mom posted and at the time the pix was taken it appears it is blood. She has a nice heartwarming story that goes with it. She is cute regardless because she has triumphed over one major tragedy!
Stupid dinosaur computer!
Sorry about the double posts!
Booo hoooo! What a MIRAculous brave little ferret. She sure fought the good fight all the way to the end. Wonderful caring people took extraordinary care of her.
That’s it, now you’ve done it. You’ve made Redzilla all teary-eyed. Poor wittle ferret. Sad, but still…cute in that pathetic, clinging to hope way that only animals can do.
Oh my!!! That has got to be the keeeeeyooooootest leeetl weezl I’ve seen for the longest time. Supremely adorable!!! :)
Maybe what he needs is a little female companionship to cuddle up with.
oooh don’t be sad little ferret! I’ll post!!
What a little sweet pea!
She has such innocent eyes that almost seem to be asking “why”, and so am I.
I have no idea how anyone could hurt her, but she’s still so beautiful.
Reading about her ordeal and recovery has really put my own problems into perspective.
Thanks for the cute therapy!
awwwwwwwww, so sweet, dook,dook.
