Suki (Suky, Sukey, Sukie) is also the traditional English nickname for Suzanna.

Do you remember the nursery rhyme, “Polly put the kettle on, we’ll all have tea”? The second verse is “Sukey take it off again, they’ve all gone away.”

My Suki is even cuter than a hamster, but not so furry.

At least say its an Asian name rather than being specific with “Chinese”. Mei is Chinese, yes, but Suki… is very Japanese. This is akin to saying “Pedro” is an Irish name, or saying that Yousaf is a Greek name. It just doesn’t work. Iunno, maybe I’m just a bit too sensitive to this issue.
