hehe!! What a total cutie.

Our Westie “Darwin” (may he RiP) used to steal food wherever he could. One such instance hubby still talks about was the time when he’d poured a bowl of cereal at the kitchen table, then needed to step away for some reason. When he started back down the stairs to the kitchen he found Darwin, hindfeet on chair, front paws on table, face in bowl. As hubby started moving ever faster towards the kitchen, “Darwin!! Get down!”, Darwin just started eating more frantically rather than running.
It’s like he knew “I’m already in trouble, might as well make it worth my while!”
I used to think it was a misnomer, but over the years I came to realize that “Darwin” was a darn good name for him.

To this day we push our chairs tight in under the table. :-)

Wow. Up until this point I was convinced *my* basset was the prettiest in the world. This one gives Dollybug a run for her money.

Also – the blue eyes, I’ve never seen that before either. I want my next basset to have blue eyes!

I had a basset named Flash–I did the “drop a blanket over him” test mentioned above. He curled up under the blanket and fell asleep. If that’s not genius, I don’t know what is.
