OH MY GAWD!! If you’ve ever had a bunny, you *know* the sound she’s making–soft, muffled scrunch-crunch-crunch. I can never get enough bunnies.
Theo, bunnies have one of the highest Cute factors of any member of the animal kingdom. Therefore, you probably will have to put up with a fairly high bunny quotient here on CO.
It’s a dust bunny!! (some of the ones under my bed are almost this fluffy, but not as cute).
I love the cheek tufts. I just got my poor old favorite car shredded to hell by a semi, so little parallel ears make me feel a wee bit better.
E.C., Thinker — yeah, I know. I’m outnumbered 3 to 1 in my own *household* by bunny fans. I just like my little predators, is all. You’re perfectly free to cuddle your prey.
oooh, I prefer the predators too (the feline ones, that is)–but I appreciate cuteness in all its morphs.

But you know, my bunny adored my cat. Ran circles around her, nuzzled her fur and waited to be petted–by my cat, yes. Kitty wasn’t so interested but for Bunny–well, hope springs eternal.

Hey Meg, when you need to adjust eyes in photoshop to compensate for the red, there’s a better way than totally painting over them. Try searching your photoshop help for “color replacement” to learn about the color replacement tool. If this isn’t enough information, then try googling it. You’ll likely get a lot of hits with different methods for removing redeye, but the color replacement method gives the best results, as it doesn’t require repainting or recreating speculars. Choose a nice dark brown color as the replacement, so the eyes look natural. I hope you give it a shot; if you have any questions, just ask!

Also, fellow cuteologists…am I out of my mind for thinking that plants, specifically African violets, can be cute? Because my cute little African violet with cute pretty little purple flowers fell off its ledge today for the second time, and I found myself apologizing to it because it’s so cute and pretty and lovable.

Christine – About plants being cute, I’m with you. My favorite flowers for a long time were some tiny pansies that my grandmother called Johny-Jump-Ups, that were purple and gold and only about 3/4″ across. And teeny-tiny wilde ’shrooms are adorable, *I* think.
But then, I also think baby grasshoppers and tiny spiders are cute, so I may just be . . . weird

Johnny-Jump-Ups? I LOVE those! I love pansies too — they’re so pretty and sweet-looking, and their petals are SOFT.
I don’t think I really reccomend color replacer for correcting red eye, because you have to select each color. Here is a great tutorial for red eye removal involving painting using layers, blends for a more natural look: http://www.escrappers.com/redeyes.html
Quick-and-dirty redeye reduction a la Theo:
1) Roughly mask the pupils using select-ellipse or lasso tool
2) From the color tools, take the color saturation all the way down

Too lazy to read all the other comments…but imho, the eyes are super scary now. I guess they’d be scarier if they were red, but they don’t look….real, I guess. Otherwise, Cute CUte CUTE. Fave part? Munched on carrot, like “sorry for interrupting your snack, Miss Hatty Buns.”

Theo: Why don’t you just use the sponge tool to desaturate?
Aurora: Sorry, but color replacement doesn’t require that you select each color. I’m not sure what gave you that impression. Perhaps you didn’t play with the tolerance? It allows you to modify a range of reds all at once.

This site seems to detail the color replacement method nicely. The great thing about it is that it’s super easy, and it only affects the color you want it to; in this case, the red, so you don’t have to worry about messing up the surrounding image. I’d lay off on the burn tool unless absolutely necessary, though.
Of course, if you have CS2 or (I think) Elements, then just use the Red Eye tool.
