May I be the first to thank you for introducing a way to spell a word I use all the time.
That photo would make a great poster with some inspirational phrase captioning it, but “Ehn!” really says it all!!

Six little ducks that I once knew…..
Ahhh — I *fear* a caption contest for this pic, mainly because I’ve seen it 100 times already on an IRC images archive, and 99% of the time, the captions dive straight straight into the obvious racist “humor.” Oh giggles (not).
It’s not that I don’t trust CuteOverloaders to post with civility (snort!), it’s just, y’know, 99 times bit, 198 times shy.

Me? I just saw cute little duckies, m’self–but then, I was raised to judge people the same way I judge a piece of fruit–it’s the sweetness inside that counts, not the color of the peel.
As for the pic itself…? HEE!! At this rate I’m not just gonna melt, I’ll sublimate straight into a vapor and end up raining all over Spain! (Mainly on the plain, of course…)

Meg, “Ehn!” should really be just an entirely new cuteness “rule”. Anything small and precious that is trying hard to stretch out or do anything particularly difficult (for it) is cute. Does anyone DISAGREE with this????? I thought not.

those are swanlings. he’s a duckling. gosh, you must not have read the ugly duckling as a kid. This is just it, reversed. Anyway its dead, it has died of starvation probably by now.

I have to admit, the first potential caption that crossed my mind was something along the lines of “I don’t know about this whole “bussing to inner-city schools idea…” So, I’d say you have a point, Theo.
(Or maybe: “White Ducks Can’t Jump!”)
