Awwww, I used to have a chick too. It thought I was its mummy, and used to take naps inside my shirt.
When I put it on the floor and walked away, it ran so fast, little chickie wings outstretched, I’d nearly trip over it before I reached the other side of the room.
I would put it to bed wrapped in a little cloth, cradled tightly in a little basket on my bedside table, but if the cloth loosened during the night, it would wake up cheeping. So I’d have to wake up and re-wrap it.
(Then she grew up and laid loads of huge, double-yolked eggs!)
Bwah! Now who did the audio, the photog or youse guys?
eee!!! it would look cute by itself, but the fact that it’s sitting in a bunch of flowers makes it even better. <3

To answer ‘Alice the Brit’, we have TONS of great submissions, you’re right. It’s difficult to go through them all. This baby chick from Tanja has been waiting to be posted for some time now (because of adding the song to it). It’s the quality of her photos. Early on, we collected a bunch from her site and ‘Donna K’ sent it too.
I’m certain I’ll get to yours too! If only people could tip ‘time’ in the tip jar…

We have a flock of about 20 hens–I remember when they were all this cute. Darn it! I swore this year, no new chicks! Don’t know if I have the strength to resist now!
