Paging David Dyer! Your puppy is on CNN!

Cnn_5David, your puppy is shown at the beginning of a segment on Cuteness on CNN.com RIGHT NOW! To see it, go to the homepage of CNN, and on the right-hand side is a link called; "Watch: Does cuteness count? Awwwwwwwww … yes" (I did not make that up.)

Cnn_movie

If you click the link, you’ll see a streaming movie of a segment that appears to have aired on CNN. Also pictured are Chris B.’s pug, Jenny H.’s St. Bernard, Cory and Melinda’s cat, YayHooray’s teacup cats, Sarah S.’s pugs, and K. Akagami’s hamster! All shown with Outkast’s "Hey Ya" playing in the background. Peeps, tell your animals to get their autograph pens out.

And Hello! Homepage of CNN!

what’s funny is that a few weeks back, after my boyfriend and i discovered this site and were obsessing over every photo, i remembered my theory that cuteness must be somehow advantageous to evolution, because it reminds parents that the animal is vulnerable and they need to protect it. the NEXT day on the new york times website there was an article about just that. he swears i’m secretly a scientist now.

  7. Cipher says:

Is there a direct link to the video? It’s not there on the front page anymore.

  8. Ginmega says:

I am surprised at C.O.com for not knowing the difference between a pile of french bulldog puppies and pugs. Sarah S’s puppies are of the french bulldog persuasion and are not pugs. Not all bracycephalic cuteness goes by the same name.

I demand more pug pics for this oversight!

“Is there a direct link to the video? It’s not there on the front page anymore.”
It’s still on the front page, just scroll down under “Watch video”

  10. Alicat says:

okay — i thought when these were first posted about that they were determined to be Boston Terriers, not pugs, not frenchies. Am I wrong?

I work at CNN, and I suggested your web-site for the story about cuteness, and they used it!
    I visit (almost) every day.

  26. Silverlotus says:

Whaaa! That was so much cuteness! And how nice to see CNN playing a cute story instead of a mean story, like about war.

    Long live Cute Overload!

  27. Arachnae says:

I saw the segment on AC360, and thought it improved the piece by having it intro-ed by the Cutest. Anchor. Ever.

    Talk about your cute-overload!

  28. Meg says:

Amy! Thanks for suggesting Cute O to your peeps at CNN! Major thanks! Tell Anderson Cooper he is an unofficial spokesperson for us… (Being so cute and all.)
