I’ve even told people here at work about it. I am addicted. I guess admitting it is the first step. “Hi, my name is Jan and I’m addicted to cuteoverload.com!” (everyone in unison…HIII JAAAN!!)

For another round of “awws” check out this story:
Hamster, Snake Best Friends at Tokyo Zoo

TOKYO – Gohan and Aochan make strange bedfellows: one’s a 3.5-inch dwarf hamster; the other is a 120 yard-long rat snake. Zookeepers at Tokyo’s Mutsugoro Okoku zoo presented the hamster — whose name means “meal” in Japanese — to Aochan as a tasty morsel in October, after the snake refused to eat frozen mice.

But instead of indulging, Aochan decided to make friends with the furry rodent, according to keeper Kazuya Yamamoto. The pair have shared a cage since.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Gohan sometimes even climbs onto Aochan to take a nap on his back,” Yamamoto said.

Aochan, a 2-year-old male Japanese rat snake, eventually developed an appetite for frozen rodents but has so far shown no signs of gobbling up Gohan — despite her name.

“We named her Gohan as a joke,” Yamamoto chuckled. “But I don’t think there’s any danger. Aochan seems to enjoy Gohan’s company very much.”

And here’s a link to a cute pic of them:

  9. yul says:

I don’t find it cute. Transparent pinky flesh and thin here does not appeal to me :[

  10. Jackie says:

There is never a need to post negetive comments…

  11. Megan says:

There is something inherently cute about hamster feet. so itty-bitty.

  12. Yul–I’m presuming you’ve never had or seen a newborn baby, then. Otherwise your oxytocin levels would be shooting into low earth orbit.

It’s the itty-bitty little toesies that are so getting me on this one! Hee!
