I hate to be picky, but sugar gliders are not squirrels — they’re marsupials. Other than their size and cuteness the two creatures have nothing in common.
“Sugar Glider Squirrels” is another name for them, even though they aren’t rodents. I can prove it. There’s a website http://www.sugar-glider-squirrels.com about the huge-eyed beasts.
It’s just another example of how we give things dumb names. Catfish aren’t felines at all!
