Wan Wan is the japanese doggie sound, probably refers to puppy furniture. roughly the same idea as if we called something “meow meow ___” So. there ya go.

Ah, but it’s a pun. “Wanruumu” or “one-room” is a Japanese loanword meaning “studio apartment”…an apartment with one room. Added with the “wan wan” sound a dog makes, and there you go, a dog apartment.

The kittens appear to be from the San-X line “Nyan Nyan Nyanko”, which consists of kittens that like to dress up as things, primarily food. Most of it is too cute for words.
